Integration Engineer

FineCom Logistics

• System integration & interfaces • Independently conceive, develop and maintain data interfaces between internal and external systems • Operate and further develop the Lobster_data integration platform • Connect external systems via EDI/EDIFACT, XML, JSON and CSV • Develop and maintain file-based and web interfaces using common transfer protocols such as REST, SOAP, SFTP and EDI • Design robust validation and error-handling logic (sanity checks, atomic processing, idempotency) • Independently perform error analysis and incident resolution during operation • Connect and integrate ERP and WMS systems with surrounding platforms (e-commerce, shipping providers, customer portals) • Support logistics IT systems and warehouse management environments • Develop and maintain SQL queries, procedures and data models in MS SQL and MySQL environments • Analyze and optimize data-driven business processes through professional use of SQL and a solid understanding of data structures and relationships

Job Requirements

  • Experience with integration platforms — ideally Lobster_data, alternatively comparable middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.)
  • Interface formats: XML, JSON, CSV, EDIFACT/EDI
  • Transfer protocols: REST, SOAP, SFTP/FTP
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs (usage/configuration)
  • Strong SQL skills (MS SQL Server, MySQL) for complex queries, joins, CTEs and data modeling
  • Understanding of connected, distributed system architectures and their process chains
  • Basic understanding of WMS processes and their impact on interface design
  • Basic understanding of e-commerce and/or logistics processes
