About the Role We're looking for a Lead Procurement Business Partner to serve as the strategic procurement owner across Snyk's Finance, Legal, Corporate Information Systems, and People & Workplace verticals. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Procurement. You're a business partner first, with an obsession for customer centricity. In an environment where speed and impact are equally valued, you'll build frameworks that enable the business rather than slow it down — owning purchase management, month-end close processes, and systems hygiene across the verticals that underpin our operational and organizational growth. What You'll Do Business Partnership (~50%) • Strategic partnership: Embed within Finance, Legal, Corporate Information Systems, and People leadership, attending planning cycles and supplier strategy discussions • Procurement execution: Own the full Source-to-Pay (S2P) lifecycle for all G&A commodities — SaaS, Professional Services, Real Estate & Facilities, Resource Augmentation — including net-new purchases and renewals • Stakeholder translation: Translate complex sourcing and financial concepts for non-procurement stakeholders; build trust through responsiveness and results • Executive partnership: Be the face of Procurement for G&A leadership (CFO, CPO, CIO, CEO) — the go-to escalation point for operational issues and spend health updates • FP&A alignment: Set and communicate budget requirements with FP&A, keep spend within guardrails, and contribute to annual planning Systems & Process Excellence (~30%) • P2P adoption: Champion adoption and optimization across G&A, driving compliance, UX improvements, and workflow automation • Data quality: Partner with Finance Systems, Business Analytics, Strategy, and Accounting to improve data quality, GL coding accuracy, and spend visibility • Risk & controls: Partner with Legal, GRC, and Enterprise Security to strengthen contract lifecycle management, TPRM, and risk-appropriate controls • Cycle-time reduction: Cut P2P cycle time through automation, self-service, and AI-assisted tooling • SaaS stack management: Partner with the CIO to rationalize Snyk's SaaS stack, consolidating tools and leveraging Snyk's own AI capabilities over new purchases • Spend ownership: Own SaaS/subscription spend currently on credit card, and build a plan to shift it to invoiced billing and/or reseller arrangements • System ownership: Act as SME for Coupa, identifying process improvements with Accounting and Business Applications Financial Close & Controls (~20%) • Close ownership: Own month-end close activities — accrual submissions, PO management, spend reconciliation — with Accounting and FP&A • PO hygiene: Ensure timely PO creation, receipt matching, and proactive communication of large commitments to Finance • Accrual accuracy: Drive accuracy through scalable open PO reviews and prepaid management • Forecasting support: Surface supplier commitment data to support accurate budget-to-actual reporting • Audit readiness: Keep every request and PO audit-ready with clean, reportable metadata What You Bring • 7+ years of progressive procurement experience, including 5+ years in enterprise tech, SaaS, cybersecurity or hyperscaler environments • An "AI-first" mindset and curiosity about applying AI to procurement operations • Customer-centric, with a track record of building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence effectively • A bias for action, with strong time management and a natural sense of urgency • Experience in strategic sourcing and contract negotiation across G&A categories (professional services, real estate/facilities, corporate information systems, HR/workforce) • Working knowledge of procurement-adjacent accounting: accruals, prepaid expenses, PO management, month-end close • Hands-on experience with modern procurement platforms and ERPs • Proven ability to build structure in high-velocity, ambiguous environments without slowing the business down • Strong grasp of controls, segregation of duties, and compliance across Procurement, Legal, Security, and Finance • A passion for turning manual processes into structured, automated, audit-ready systems • Tenacity and resilience to drive results, even in ambiguous settings It'd Be Awesome If You Also… • Have hands-on experience with Coupa (P2P), Tropic (I2P), or similar enter prise procurement suites • Have worked in hyper-growth, scaling environments • Bring experience with Real Estate/Workplace procurement at scale • Are proficient with BI tools for spend analysis and reporting We care deeply about the warm, inclusive environment we’ve created and we value diversity – we welcome applications from those typically underrepresented in tech. • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for direct and indirect materials • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and manage suppliers to support business objectives related to cost, quality, delivery, and innovation • Lead supplier negotiations, including pricing, contracts, terms and conditions, and long-term supply agreements • Monitor market trends, material pricing, supply chain risks, and capacity constraints to proactively manage procurement strategies • Drive cost-reduction initiatives through supplier development, value engineering, competitive bidding, and process improvements • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to support new product launches, supplier transitions, and continuous improvement initiatives • Establish supplier performance metrics and conduct regular business reviews • Resolve supply chain disruptions and escalation issues while minimizing impact to production and customer commitments • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, quality requirements, and ethical sourcing standards • Maintain accurate procurement data, contracts, supplier records, and reporting metrics • Support inventory optimization efforts while balancing service, cost, and working capital objectives
• Execute the RFP process, solution selection and negotiations to achieve the desired results • Collaborate with the Vendor Management office to ensure risk evaluation is complete prior to contracting • Develop strong relationships with business partners to influence outcomes • Build relationships with key business partners and meets regularly with them to ensure Strategic Sourcing is meeting expectations • Consult with business partners and/or relationship managers to identify appropriate and effective key performance requirements and draft supplier service level agreements (SLAs) • Negotiate large, complex agreements that meet business objectives • Understand and interprets the provisions and terms of contracts; collaborates with Legal and other SMEs as necessary to ensure interpretation accuracy and to resolve escalated issues • Consult business partners and relationship managers on contractual rights and obligations • Provide strategic oversight and quality review to negotiations and contract drafting • Prepare and maintain contracts with service providers in accordance with company standards • Negotiate contractual terms, pricing, and deliverables to mitigate risk and maximize value • Lead in the development and execution of category negotiation strategies with suppliers • Develop strategic category objectives and goals with defined plans for cost savings and risk assessment • Address all areas of category management and consults with function leaders to understand sourcing strategy and execution to achieve optimal business outcomes • Prepare and analyzes vendor spend reports and provides recommendations for improvements to better negotiate and leverage contracts • Create metrics to report on progress against initiatives and/or to provide required data to key business owners • Consult with business partners, suppliers and leadership to identify the most effective and efficient purchasing methods for the products and services required by the business • Identify cost saving opportunities and work with business partners and suppliers to realize cost savings • Assist with implementation of Strategic Sourcing platforms • Act as point of advice, support and guidance to departments and individuals for collaborating with Strategic Sourcing • Collaborate with business partners to ensure a timely renewal or termination • Support vendor management initiatives as needed
