Role Description The Tax Help program is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, fast learner with the ability to adapt quickly to provide administrative support to the Tax Help program. The timeline for this position is August 2026-December 2026. The administrative assistant will work up to 5 hours per week and can be based out of one of the Prosper Centers or work remotely. This position is short-term and not eligible for benefits. - Update and develop program materials - Participate in tax program planning - Coordinate specific projects as assigned by the Tax Program Manager - Other duties as assigned Qualifications - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work with integrity under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet all deadlines - Ability to communicate effectively and work productively across programs and in a team environment, as well as handle independent responsibilities - Proficiency with technology and knowledge of computer operations and software (e.g. Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications) - Maintain IRS tax certifications and continually expand tax knowledge Requirements - Position requires sitting with extensive keyboard use - May include long periods of standing and walking when managing a tax site - May include carrying materials and supplies for site setup Benefits - Compensation: $23.00/hour Company Description Foundation Communities is a national leader in providing affordable housing and innovative financial stability programs. The Center for Brooklyn History seeks to hire a full time, grant-funded Assistant Curator role for three years to assist CBH in developing an ambitious and visionary project: a permanent, multi-floor exhibition dedicated to the rich and inspiring history of Brooklyn. Scheduled to open in 2028, this exhibition will explore Brooklyn’s evolving communities, its role in American history, and its cultural and economic contributions from centuries past to today. A dedicated children’s section will offer interactive experiences to engage young visitors and support our educational programs. As part of the curatorial team for this exhibition, the Assistant Curator will draw from both generations of existing scholarship and engage with cutting-edge current research on Brooklyn’s growth and development, as well as shine a light on the collection of the Center for Brooklyn History, the largest and most comprehensive source of Brooklyn-related materials anywhere in the world.
