Role Description This Outside Sales Manager role offers the opportunity to drive revenue growth by identifying product expansion opportunities, delivering impactful product training, and developing commercial solutions that strengthen customer partnerships and increase sales performance. The role works closely with manufacturers and internal sales teams to ensure seamless account management and exceptional customer satisfaction, while building long-term relationships that support sustained business success and market growth. Qualifications - Sales experience within the electrical utility industry, whether from a manufacturer, distributor, electric utility, or a manufacturer’s representative firm. - Understanding of electric grid infrastructure and how utility components support the broader system. - Meaningful technical exposure that allows navigation of engineering and operational discussions. - Structured, disciplined, and capable of independently managing multiple manufacturers and 10+ customer accounts simultaneously. - Outgoing personality with a natural ability to build strong, lasting professional relationships. Requirements - Manage assigned accounts within the territory by executing sales plans, account strategies, consultative selling approaches, and customer engagement initiatives that drive high-impact sales results. - Implement processes that improve customer retention, increase opportunity conversion, and strengthen cross-functional communication across inside sales teams and manufacturer partners. - Deliver strategic insights on competitor activity, customer behavior, and emerging market trends to support regional decision-making and forecast planning. - Build and maintain relationships across Engineering & Standards teams, Operations, and Procurement departments to ensure products are specified and approved. - Work daily with an internal sales team to coordinate quotes, drawings, orders, and pricing updates. - Conduct product training for customers and attend relevant market trade shows and industry events. • Develop, implement, manage, and maintain the business plan and sales strategies for high efficiency water heating products • Manage activities of Representative Agencies within the territory • Direct contact with plumbing industry related customers, shows, and events • Collaborate with National Sales Manager and Regional Sales Managers to execute strategies for high efficiency product adoption and sales • Focus on Heat Pump, Condensing Tank, and Tankless technologies • Travel 80% to support and maintain assigned territory • Develop and execute a sales plan outlining objectives, target markets, and tactics • Coordinate with National and Regional Manager to execute tactical sales plans • Measure and report on product specification, installation, and sales training programs • Identify and pursue new business opportunities • Cultivate and maintain relationships to maximize sales opportunities • Monitor performance metrics for improvement
• Support and advise our customers with the goal of developing tailored solutions and fostering long-term customer relationships • Professionally present our products, solutions and concepts on site at customer locations and actively support the development of sales and marketing strategies • Maintain and expand customer relationships and strategically grow the customer base, e.g., through product and service bundling and acquisition of new customers • Prepare, present and follow up on quotes and proposals • Independently conduct order negotiations and order reviews • Provide commercial and technical consulting and develop customer-specific solutions in close cooperation with our merchandisers • Work closely with the back office, internal sales and merchandisers to ensure smooth operations
