Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and trusted Sr. Director, Global Tax, Legal and Regulatory Solutions to join our Marketing team. This unique and rewarding role blends deep tax domain expertise with proven product management capabilities that are required to thoroughly assess and scope tax, legal, and regulatory changes across the globe impacting our clients. The position requires tax expertise, strategic vision, advisory skills, team leadership experience and proficiency in leveraging technology. The Sr. Director, Global Tax, Legal and Regulatory Solutions will bring a forward-thinking approach to inform the Company’s world-class development team on regulatory and compliance changes in more than 150 countries to produce vital tax, legal and regulatory updates (“TLR”) to our clients. These software updates are critical to keeping our clients’ systems current and compliant with ever-changing global regulations and represent a mission-critical deliverable. This leader is expected to spend at least 50% time in client-facing activities to articulate our global tax vision, capabilities, scoping, development processes and deliverables – and help sell why Rimini Street is one of the most trusted, proven and reliable provider of TLR updates globally. The position requires strong communication, ability to think strategically, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive performance and foster a culture of excellence. This leader needs to excel, enjoy and seek public speaking opportunities to small and large groups on the subject of evolving global tax models, reporting and compliance and Rimini Street’s industry-leading updates and deliverables for clients. This remote U.S.–based role reports to the General Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Stay updated on significant global legislative changes and industry trends, assessing their impact, and communicating these changes to external and internal stakeholders (e.g., Brazil tax system changes over the next decade). - Manage team of highly experienced business solution analysts responsible for assessing regulatory and tax changes. - Develop processes for routine collaboration with Rimini Global Regulatory Research Analysts, Business Solution Analysts, and Engineers to ensure that every mandatory update or offering is properly scoped, analyzed, designed, and well-documented. - Work with the Rimini Street Global Product Delivery team on innovative service delivery strategies that may involve building, buying, or partnering to deliver solutions for clients. - Research and advise on cost efficient methods, tools, and partnership arrangements to validate the timeliness and accuracy of the global legislative changes and industry trends. - Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, and Product Delivery to position how TLR is represented in the market. - Communicate and influence effectively, especially with executive leadership, and explain complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax professionals through presentations and demonstrations. - Participate in client marketing and sales opportunities, representing how the Company monitors tax, legal and regulatory changes around the world, scopes changes, develops and delivers accurate and quality updates in a timely manner Education - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent is required - Master’s in taxation, or equivalent is required - U.S. licensed JD//LLM/CPA is preferred Experience - 15+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, with a significant focus and experience with international tax strategies, models and compliance - 10+ years of U.S. “Big Four” tax and audit experience with public corporations, including experience working with corporate board audit committees and global auditors - Direct experience deploying tax technology, ERP tax configuration, or product management in a technology environment - Responsible for managing team of highly skilled professionals under tight deadlines Desired Qualifications & Skills - Articulate and persuasive communicator. Commands the room, can present to executive and financial audiences. Readily modifies approach and message to different audiences appropriately to circumstance - High energy style, flexible and adaptive, with the ability to work well in a very fast-paced environment - Ability to think strategically, anticipate challenges, develop and propose innovative solutions to complex tax issues - Deep technical knowledge of U.S. federal, international, and indirect tax law, and other relevant tax regulations is essential - Experience with tax software, ERP systems, data analytics tools, and tax technology automation. - Understanding business models, interpreting financial data, and aligning tax strategies with broader business objectives - The position is US based; with preference the successful candidate resides near a major international airport for easy global travel - Comfortable working within a flexible work schedule that allows for collaboration with and support of team members and activities in different time zones as required, appropriate and expected for a mission-critical global support role - Global travel is expected and may be required with very short notice; While length of trips and frequency will vary depending on circumstances and needs, annual travel requirements should be expected to be at least 25% on an annual amortization Location Remote - US Qualified applicants are considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship status, disability, protected veteran status, or any other category protected by applicable Federal, State, or Local laws. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be based on several factors such as: a candidate's location, and the level of applicable skills and professional experience.
