Asphalt Operator
Field
• Operating several types of related construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Job Requirements
- Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.
- CDL is preferred but not necessary.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
- Able to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, weekends, as needed.
- Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments.
- Member of a Local Operators Union, or willingness to become a union member are required. Union membership is not required prior to employment.
- Successfully pass, or has passed the Operators Union aptitude test when required.
- Safely use machinery to move construction materials, earth, and other materials at a construction site.
- Able to read and understand grade stakes, automated machine control cab displays, etc.
- Minimum 3 years paving experience required.
- Able to safely maneuver machinery in tight quarters, around people, traffic, and utilities.
- Ability to clean, maintain, and assist in repairing equipment.

• Responsible for BIM support as part of Design Consulting and Design Build projects • Partner with Solution Architects and Project Designers • Produce security installation drawings such as floor plans, riser diagrams, details, and schedules • Develop the Information Model using Autodesk Revit • Work with customer provided REVIT files to prepare security systems installation drawings • Create additional BIM Objects (Revit Families) as needed • Produce Project Deliverables from the information Model • Adjust BIM models as directed by the customer • Create and collect various 2D drawings to be inserted in the BIM model • Ensure all elements of the Information Model are fully coordinated • Maintain organized project files, model versions, drawing records, and documentation • Review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and consistency • Submit Information for approval in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) • Follow BIM execution plans, CAD/BIM standards, naming conventions, and quality control procedures • Run interference/clash detection to detect design clashes • Assist in developing and maintaining project models according to company standards • Escalate any coordination issues to the lead project designer • Attend weekly meetings and submit updates to lead designer • Perform "self checking" within the information Model
