Job Description
Senior Software Engineer, C#
One Identity
• Taking full ownership of features — from refinement and design through development, testing, and delivery to production • Building and maintaining modern, scalable microservices in C# and .NET (8+) running on Azure Kubernetes Service • Contributing across the stack — backend services, Angular UI, test automation, CI/CD pipelines — wherever the work needs you • Writing clean, testable, well-documented code and holding the bar through code reviews • Creating and executing test cases, participating in functional testing, and managing test plans via Azure DevOps • Working in 2-week sprints with a globally distributed team — participating in refinement, demos, and retrospectives • Instrumenting services with OpenTelemetry and using Datadog to own the health of what you ship • Participating in on-call rotation as a primary responder for our services and the Kubernetes infrastructure that runs them — we own the full stack, not just the application layer • Owning customer escalations directly — investigating, communicating, and resolving issues without a handoff layer between you and the customer impact • Leveraging AI coding tools to accelerate development — we expect engineers to be fluent in AI-assisted workflows, not just aware of them • Collaborating closely with architects, product managers, and teammates across Panama, Hungary, and beyond
Job Requirements
- Strong C# and .NET (8+) experience building production microservices at scale
- Solid grasp of CQRS, event-driven architecture, and messaging systems (Azure Service Bus or similar)
- Hands-on with NoSQL databases — Cosmos DB, MongoDB, or similar
- Experience with CI/CD tooling — Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Comfortable with containerization and orchestration — Docker, Kubernetes, AKS
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful .NET microservices development
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- Strong English communication skills — written and verbal (our team is distributed globally)
- Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously across time zones
- Familiarity with Identity and Access Management — OAuth, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, JWT (Nice to Have)
- Experience with Azure services beyond AKS (App Configuration, Key Vault, Service Bus) (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to OpenAPI spec authoring and API-first design (Nice to Have)
Benefits
- Fully remote role
- Work on a platform used by enterprises globally to manage secure access and identity
- Small-enough team that your contributions are visible; large-enough org that there's real career trajectory
- Engineering culture that values ownership, continuous improvement, and shipping real things
