Role Description We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer who brings strong technical depth and a hands-on, problem-solving mindset to the team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions that drive our business forward. This role sits at the intersection of enterprise software development, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Prepare Software Engineering design documentation - Utilize modern software development tools in an agile environment to design, develop, integrate, and test software solutions for the Aegis Display Subsystem - Develop object-oriented C++ and Java code in a Linux environment - Prepare and present engineering material within the peer review process and to customers as appropriate - Design and implement backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and the Spring ecosystem - Develop and maintain scalable, reliable software applications - Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge transfer to customers and internal teams Qualifications - Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Swift - Strong communication skills (written and verbal), working with teams across multiple time zones - Excellent writing and grammar skills - A bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) - Previous experience as a Software Developer, Coder, Software Engineer, or Programmer is preferred - Able to debug hardware and drivers with Oscilloscope's, logic analyzers, and other test equipment - Back end development language support using golang, protobufs, and understanding of micro-service architectures - Experience with bare-metal software development, Real Time Operating Systems or Embedded Linux - Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work Benefits - Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) - Retirement Plan (401k, IRA) - Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) - Training & Development - Work From Home
