Saga
• Design and own Amplify's back-end service layer, providing overall architectural leadership across the engineering team • Build the shared trigger and notification engine, LMS backend, pricing services, and pairing/scoring services that power Amplify's core product experiences • Design and maintain secure multi-tenant architecture, ensuring strict tenant isolation and privacy across queries, triggers, notifications, and usage data • Define API contracts for front-end applications and data pipelines, while making build-vs-reuse decisions across the existing Saga platform • Lead technical planning by decomposing the roadmap, reviewing code across frontend and data engineering, and driving architectural decisions • Ensure the platform is production-ready, observable, secure, and scalable as Amplify grows.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of backend and full-stack engineering experience with significant production experience in TypeScript/Node.js or comparable technologies
- Experience building event-driven systems using queues or streams, along with rules engines, trigger engines, or notification infrastructure
- Strong experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms with strict tenant isolation and privacy-by-design principles
- Experience leading or acting as the technical owner within a small engineering team, including architecture, code reviews, and roadmap planning
- Experience with usage-based scoring or recommendation logic, LMS or workflow products, and cloud platforms such as Azure is a strong advantage
- Strong engineering judgement with the ability to balance scalability, security, maintainability, and product delivery.
