This is an exciting leadership opportunity to drive programs that deliver measurable biodiversity outcomes for priority threatened species and ecological communities while contributing to the NSW Government"s Biodiversity Conservation Program. As the Senior Team Leader, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to design, implement, monitor and evaluate complex restoration projects across diverse landscapes. You will play a key role in developing a scalable statewide ecosystem restoration framework, partnering with stakeholders to support evidence-based planning through habitat mapping, and coordinating expertise across government, regional teams and external partners. Working in a collaborative and outcomes-focused environment, you will provide strategic leadership, expert technical advice and project oversight to ensure restoration initiatives achieve high-quality environmental outcomes, on time and within budget. You will also lead a team of specialists and work closely with stakeholders to deliver integrated projects that balance ecological, social and cultural values. About You You will have: - Extensive experience in habitat conservation, ecosystem restoration and biodiversity management, with the ability to deliver strategic environmental outcomes across large and complex landscapes. - Demonstrated success leading complex programs and projects from planning through to implementation, including governance, risk management, resource allocation and performance reporting. - Strong knowledge of ecosystem restoration principles, habitat conservation practices and biodiversity outcomes for threatened species and ecological communities. - Proven ability to lead, coach and develop multidisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performing and outcomes-focused culture. - Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with experience influencing, negotiating and building partnerships across government, community, industry and environmental sectors. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise and actionable advice for a range of audiences. - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to navigate competing priorities, manage complex issues and develop practical, evidence-based solutions. - Demonstrated resilience, adaptability and sound judgement, with the confidence to lead through ambiguity, drive change and deliver results in a dynamic environment. Qualifications - 2+ years of experience as a Civil Estimator within the Australian civil construction industry. - Demonstrated experience preparing end-to-end civil tenders independently. - Strong understanding of Australian civil construction methodologies and estimating practices. - Proven experience completing detailed quantity take-offs from engineering drawings. - Ability to interpret civil drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and tender documentation. - Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess project risks and pricing strategies. - Experience obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations. - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. - Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong written and verbal English communication skills. - Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment. Requirements - Experience using civil estimating software (such as Expert Estimation, Benchmark, Candy, CostX, Cubit, Buildsoft, or similar) is highly regarded. - Experience estimating projects across roads, earthworks, drainage, subdivisions, or other civil infrastructure works. - Knowledge of Western Australian civil construction practices and supplier networks. - Experience working remotely with Australian construction businesses.
