• Own the autonomy software stack for Gather products, including perception, localization, and inventory scanning pipelines running on vehicle-mounted embedded compute • Contribute to the architecture of the product autonomy stack as the product scales to more vehicle types, facility layouts, and customer configurations • Document existing systems • Plan future revisions • Contribute and lead to design improvements and testing • Solve problems across the autonomy stack • Design and implement algorithms that reliably detect, identify, and record inventory locations as forklifts and drones move through warehouse aisles under variable lighting, occlusion, and motion • Improve scan accuracy and coverage through algorithmic improvements, better sensor integration, and tighter coordination with the ML perception models • Build and maintain the software systems that manage scan triggering, location mapping, and data handoff to the cloud platform • Collaborate with hardware and field teams to diagnose and resolve issues on deployed systems, using log data and field observations to drive improvements

• Work with students and professionals building careers in software engineering • Teach core skills in architecture and frontend frameworks • Cover AI-driven engineering tasks like AI system design, AI code review, model development, LLM fine-tuning, and prompt engineering • Support career side of the journey including resume review, cover letters, LinkedIn review, behavioral interview prep, technical interview prep, salary negotiation, promotion strategy, and networking strategy • Set own hours and rates, host sessions virtually

• Build and maintain user-facing features in our React Native mobile apps across iOS (and Android, as we expand). • Design and implement mobile components and subsystems that are performant, maintainable, and scalable across platforms. • Collaborate with product and design teams to scope, implement, and launch features that align with user and business needs. • Contribute to platform improvements, including tooling, testing strategies, CI/CD, and performance monitoring. • Work with backend engineers to define mobile-specific APIs and improve client-server integration patterns. • Identify and resolve performance or reliability issues in the mobile experience. • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning to raise engineering quality across the team. • Support a strong mobile engineering culture through mentorship, collaboration, and a focus on continuous improvement.
