MERS Specialist

• Provides Tier 1 support for MERS-related applications, including troubleshooting issues • Assisting clients with system navigation • Escalating complex cases when necessary • Completes MERS Annual Reviews as a third-party auditor, ensuring accuracy and compliance within required timeframes • Collaborates with MERS members to ensure monthly data reconciliation standards are met using the mintrak2 system • Monitors and responds to client requests via the MERS Services email box, providing timely resolutions for application support inquiries • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of process and regulatory changes, as well as MERS guidelines related to MERS requirements • Identifies gaps in member processing and provide recommendations to correct deficiencies related to MERS compliance • Assists with onboarding and implementation of new clients, including initial application setup and troubleshooting • Supports monthly client reporting needs, reviews for discrepancies, and ensuring data accuracy and compliance
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in mortgage loan processing, servicing, or application support
- Strong knowledge of MERS compliance requirements
- Previous experience in Tier 1 support, application troubleshooting, or a technology-related field preferred
- Experience working with large data sets and performing data reconciliation
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as company policies
- Ability to write reports and client correspondence
- Previous experience working with clients/customers in a support or service role
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel and Word
