Business Development Manager

• Own the full new business sales cycle across DACH from prospecting to close, including qualification, discovery calls, demos, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closing • Build and manage a pipeline of enterprise B2C brand partners across fashion, retail, tech, food & drink, travel, and entertainment, localising Pion's GTM pitch and materials for the German-speaking market • Drive pipeline growth and quality through outbound prospecting using Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, maintaining rigorous CRM hygiene across activity logging, forecasting, and pipeline management • Execute a targeted outreach strategy as the founding commercial hire in the region, acting as a proactive, go-getter lead generator and trusted commercial advisor to prospects, partnering with Marketing on German-language content and campaigns • Represent the business externally, attending DACH industry events, trade shows, and networking forums, travelling to clients when needed, and feeding market intelligence back to Sales leadership, Marketing, and Product

Job Requirements

  • Native or near-native German with full professional English proficiency, based in Germany with an existing DACH professional network
  • 3–6 years of B2B sales experience in SaaS, AdTech, MarTech, affiliate marketing, or digital media, with a proven new business / hunter track record and consistent quota attainment
  • Experience selling to enterprise B2C brands (marketing, affiliate, e-commerce, or performance teams) with consultative, value-based selling skills — comfortable selling a concept, not just a product
  • Strong commercial drive and an entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset — energised by building a market from scratch as a founding regional hire
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce desirable) and experience with an outbound tool such as Salesloft, Outreach, Groove, or similar
  • You're AI savvy, previous experience of Claude is an added bonus
