Marketplace Chaplains
• Serves as a messenger and conveyor of faith, mission, and purpose • Interacts with companies, their employees, and the community • Makes regular visits to company worksites to interact with employees • Provides referral service and acts as coordinator for specialized assistance • May assist in planning conduct or attending funerals • Works with companies to serve notifications of death • May provide post-termination care for laid-off or terminated employees • Participates in new employee orientation to explain the Employee Care Service • Responds positively and assertively to other duties requested by leadership

- Skills to effectively listen and interact with clients, employees, and their families
- Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated skill in analyzing information to define and follow up on problems or objectives
- Demonstrated computer proficiency using Google Suites, Microsoft Office, or other equivalent software.
- Active state driver’s license and state minimum auto insurance required

Job Summary Summary Responsible for providing spiritual care to patients, families, visitors, and staff. Patients are seen at the bedside or in outpatient settings as assigned. • The Chaplain Resident is involved in direct patient care. • It is this experience and reflection on actual pastoral encounters that fosters the chaplain’s learning. • Trainees are assigned to specific areas, function as ecumenical chaplains, and are responsible for providing pastoral care to patients, families and staff. • Trainees attend interdisciplinary meetings and participate with other professionals in providing patient care. • Chaplain trainees also share on call responsibilities, which provide learning opportunities in the midst of developing health care crises. • The Chaplain Resident will report to the Director of Pastoral Care and Clinical Pastoral Education Training Programs.
