• Support LCA practitioners in performing data collection, life cycle inventory (LCI) development, and LCA modeling using tools such as SimaPro or GaBi. • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and visualizations that communicate sustainability findings and recommendations to clients. • Contribute to the development of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and related client deliverables under supervision. • Conduct background research on sustainability standards, materials, and environmental impact reduction opportunities. • Analyze operational and product-level data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. • Help maintain clean workflows and documentation for project activities, data sources, and model assumptions. • Participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaborations to ensure high-quality project execution.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or related technical field.
- 1+ years of relevant experience in sustainability, environmental analysis, LCA, or data-driven environmental research (internships and academic projects count).
- Familiarity with LCA software tools such as SimaPro, GaBi, OneClick LCA or OpenLCA (coursework or exposure acceptable).
- Knowledge of LCA frameworks and standards (ISO 14040/44, ISO 14067, ISO 21930, EN15804).
- Strong skills in Excel and data analysis; ability to work with large datasets and perform basic quantitative modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex technical information clearly.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Passion for sustainability and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Role Description SAIC is seeking a Program Analyst Intern to join our Classified IT team for an internship that offers hands-on experience in project management and professional growth.
