Title: Treatment Liaison - REMOTE Location: Pittsburgh, PA Job Description: Full-time Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) is seeking a dynamic and relationship-focused Full-time Treatment Liaison to serve as a key ambassador for the organization. This position is responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong referral relationships, expanding community partnerships, and delivering exceptional customer service to referral sources, patients, and other stakeholders. The Treatment Liaison drives business development efforts, increases referral volume, identifies growth opportunities to support a strong payer mix, and helps ensure a seamless experience throughout the referral and admissions process. To be considered for the position, you must live within the Pittsburgh, PA area or surrounding counties and be able to travel throughout the region as needed. Responsibilities - Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to increase referrals and support organizational growth. - Conduct regular in-person and virtual visits with referral partners to educate them on programs, services, and admissions processes. - Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and referral patterns to identify opportunities for growth. - Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned referral sources. - Foster long-term relationships through consistent communication, responsiveness, and excellent service. - Develop referral source engagement strategies that improve satisfaction, loyalty, and retention. - Resolve concerns promptly while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. - Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, referral contacts, and relationship development efforts within the organization's CRM or referral tracking system. - Collaborate closely with Admissions and Clinical teams to facilitate timely communication and smooth patient transitions. - Provide education regarding levels of care, insurance coverage, treatment options, and available resources. - Work with patients to coordinate return to work and related paperwork prior to discharge. - Facilitate completion and submission of STD/FMLA paperwork. - Complete all documentation in patients’ charts regarding case management activities; provide comprehensive written and verbal follow up with referral sources during treatment and at discharge. - Broaden and develop Gateway Rehab’s geographic base across PA with the support of the telehealth-only license. - Maintain a working knowledge of licensing and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. - Partner with Marketing to support campaigns, community events, educational presentations, and promotional initiatives. - Support patient transfer rates and continuity of care. - Partner with Development to support alumni programming, recruitment and retention. - Serve on internal committees as needed. - Attend Gateway mandatory trainings and departmental meetings. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships and develop new business opportunities. - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. - Strong organizational and time management abilities. - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments. - Knowledge base of ASAM and other placement criteria preferred. - Knowledge base of DDAP, CARF, and other auditing bodies preferred. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Communications, Social Work, or a related field required. - Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in business development, healthcare outreach, referral development, admissions, marketing, or relationship management. - Experience within behavioral health, substance use treatment, healthcare, or human services preferred. Additional Requirements - Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned service area. - Pass PA Criminal Background Check - Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances - Pass Drug Screen - 2-Step TB Test Work Conditions - Regional travel in the assigned service area. - Moderate mental demands include creativity and flexibility. - Flexibility regarding work schedule. • Develops new referral sources and clients through professional presentation to potential referral sources and medical personnel. • Completes proper evaluations to ensure appropriate recommendations for equipment that will best serve the client’s specific need. • Ensures evaluations are completed and orders are entered in a timely manner and that all necessary client intake information is documented and forwarded to the correct branch administration. • Assists in the timely completion of work orders. • Responsible for ensuring proper and timely delivery of equipment to client. • Ensures necessary fitting adjustments and equipment modifications occur to guarantee the best possible product for the client. • Acts as a liaison between the company, the patient, and healthcare agencies. • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers.
