Job Description
Director, Demand Generation
TrashLab
Role Description We're hiring a Director, Demand Generation to own inbound pipeline end-to-end — the demand-gen obsessive who turns a meaningful six-figure digital budget and a stable of AI agents into the pipeline this company runs on: SEO, content, paid, and an AI-led lead-gen stack. You will own inbound MQLs and pipeline contributions across every channel. This role reports directly to the CEO. - Own all demand generation — SEO, content, paid search and social, programmatic, ABM, partner and co-marketing, and events — driving >40% of net-new pipeline, 3x inbound MQLs, and 10x search visibility by month 6. - Manage a meaningful six-figure annual digital marketing budget plus a substantial trade show and conference budget, both expanding materially each year. Pick the bets, kill what's not working, double down on what is. - Build the AI-driven content engine: programmatic SEO at scale, automated competitor and ICP research, and AI-assisted content production. - Map and harvest the entire US/Canada hauler ICP, stand up non-form lead identification, retargeting, and account-level scoring — and hand a clean, scored list to BDRs and AEs daily. - Own the website, blog, customer stories, and product launches; coordinate with the GTM Engineer on conversion experiments, demo environments, and landing pages. - Position TrashLab as the AI-native, modern alternative to the legacy incumbents — own the narrative and the keyword real estate that comes with it. Qualifications - You have 7+ years in B2B SaaS demand gen, with at least 3 years owning the function as a Director or Head — not just a senior IC. - You write code or AI scripts to solve marketing problems — Python, JS, scraping, n8n/Zapier, custom GPT agents — and you actually ship. - You've personally driven 5x+ organic traffic growth (or equivalent paid efficiency gains) at a B2B SaaS company in the last 3 years, and you can show the chart. - You're fluent in HubSpot (or Marketo/Pardot), GA4, Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs, Clay, Apollo, or equivalents. - You think in funnels and unit economics — CPL, MQL→SQL, CAC payback, blended LTV/CAC — not vanity metrics. - You have a vertical SaaS background (field service, construction tech, fleet/logistics, FinTech) — strongly preferred. Compensation - The base pay range for this role is $150,000 – $180,000 per year, plus equity. - Benefits include unlimited PTO, health, vision, and dental insurance, and 401k.

Role Description Join the team redefining how the world experiences design. As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. This role is focused on: - Owning the regional growth strategy for your remit — translating business objectives into channel mix, audience priorities, moments, and investment decisions that deliver measurable impact on MAU, revenue, and ROAS. - Managing a multi-million dollar paid media budget with direct accountability for results, running monthly investment optimisations and making smart trade-offs across channels, SKUs, and audiences as performance shifts. - Navigating multiple measurement methodologies — in-platform metrics, geo-lift incrementality testing, and MMM — to make confident investment calls even when signals conflict, and contributing to MMM calibration on an ongoing basis. - Leading performance across high-impact paid social and video channels (Meta, TikTok, YouTube) as well as Display, Pinterest, and SEM, in partnership with Channel Specialists and the Growth Centre of Excellence — owning the full funnel from audience and creative strategy through to bidding, pacing, and structural testing. - Driving the creative strategy in close partnership with the NAMER Creative Strategist — contributing hypotheses on audiences, formats, platform behaviours, and Category Entry Points, ensuring creative velocity stays high and that learnings are codified and acted on. - Identifying conversion gaps across the paid user journey from impression to activation, running disciplined A/B testing through the Growth CoE, and optimising landing experiences to lift conversion across key funnels for Free, Pro, and Business. - Working cross-functionally with Brand Strategy, Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, and Data to shape campaigns, moments, and market strategy — ensuring North America insights meaningfully influence global frameworks and product narratives. Qualifications - 5+ years in performance or growth marketing at a scaled consumer tech or DTC brand — you've owned significant budget (think $10M+) and been accountable for real business outcomes, not just channel metrics. - Genuine depth in paid social and video — able to deconstruct a Meta or YouTube campaign, diagnose performance issues, and have hands-on experience. - Comfortable across multiple measurement methodologies — understanding the tension between in-platform ROAS, geo-lift incrementality tests, and MMM. - Experience designing and running growth experiments — A/B tests, geo-lifts, holdout studies — and using results to drive real decisions. - Think like an investment manager regarding budget — focused on deploying capital for maximum return. - Cross-functional experience shaping campaigns and strategy alongside brand, creative, and product teams. - Multi-market experience is a real advantage — managing budgets or campaigns across more than one geography. Benefits - Competitive, market-informed compensation. - Target salary range for this position is $180,000 to $240,000 USD. - Flexibility in how and where you work. Company Description At Canva, we value fairness and strive to provide competitive compensation while ensuring internal equity within the team in each region. We celebrate all types of skills and backgrounds, and we encourage diverse applicants to apply.
