• Lead and execute joint development projects with imec and external partners focused on advanced filtration technologies and microenvironment contamination control solutions • Design, plan, and conduct experiments that support new product development and generate meaningful performance data • Utilize imec’s world-class infrastructure and technical capabilities to evaluate and validate emerging solutions for the semiconductor market • Partner closely with the CTO organization, Business Units, Product Management, and global R&D teams to ensure successful project execution and alignment • Communicate technical findings through internal reviews, customer and partner engagements, and scientific publications • Build and strengthen strategic relationships with research institutions and industry collaborators • Monitor semiconductor technology trends and translate insights into opportunities that support innovation, business growth, and market leadership

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in R&D, semiconductor technology, or advanced materials environments
  • Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes, chemical manufacturing, wet etch technologies, lithography processes, and associated materials
  • Understanding of integrated circuit manufacturing, semiconductor equipment, and industry trends is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to draw data-driven conclusions and communicate complex technical concepts clearly
  • Excellent relationship-building and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in an international environment
  • Comfortable working in cleanroom environments while following required gowning procedures
