Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and experience supporting the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. This role requires excellent analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. - Full-Cycle Month-End Close Support: Assisting with the closing process, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and maintaining an organized general ledger (GL). - Bank Reconciliations: Performing daily and monthly reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, identifying variances, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. - High-Volume Data Processing: Handling high-volume financial data with accuracy, specifically managing accounts receivable, collections data, and refund tracking. - Daily Bank Uploads & Cash Management: Executing daily cash activities, managing positive pay approvals, processing ACH/wire templates, and tracking daily cash positions. - Email Correspondence & Communication: Managing shared accounting inboxes, responding professionally to vendor and internal inquiries, and coordinating with other departments. - Ad-Hoc Projects: Assisting the Controller and leadership team with special accounting projects, data clean-up, system migrations, or urgent financial analyses. Qualifications - Advanced Excel: High proficiency with intermediate to advanced functions like Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and logical formulas to manipulate and analyze large datasets. - Basic Variance Analysis: Ability to compare actuals against budgets or historical periods to identify and explain significant fluctuations. - Process Documentation (SOPs): Experience drafting clear, step-by-step standard operating procedures to document accounting workflows. - Multi-Entity Accounting: Working in environments with multiple subsidiaries, intercompany transactions, or complex entity structures. - NetSuite: Working knowledge.
