Role Description We are looking for a senior fullstack engineer to join the Base team with emphasis in frontend onchain engineering, to enable and accelerate the success of Base. You’ll be working across all components of our system to enable the next generation of onchain products at the company. - Building and maintaining our frontend web applications with high quality standards - Open sourcing our web apps and libraries, and managing open source contributions and issues from the community - Assisting teams inside Coinbase building onchain products, leveraging industry best practices and modern dapp development patterns - Building key components of unified Base stack to further the decentralization of Base Qualifications - You have at least 3 years of experience in software engineering, and at least 2 years of experience in developing web apps and shipping user-facing features with JavaScript and modern js frameworks like React and NextJS - You've developed and shipped user-facing features with onchain components - You’re familiar with current trends and best practices in frontend architecture and dapp development, including security, performance, and usability. - You’re familiar with product and design lifecycles, and collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product managers - You write high quality, well tested and maintainable code Requirements - You’ve worked with Golang, Reth, Foundry, Solidity - You have contributed to open source crypto projects - Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks - You’ve built responsive web or mobile applications Benefits - Base salary varies by location (see range below). • Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range • Mentor and train less experienced design team members • Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements • Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and S&L formats • Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations, drawing preparation, and transmission line models based in PLS-CADD • Adhere to Sargent & Lundy's System of Processes

• Build, test, deploy, and maintain backend services and platform capabilities • Develop and integrate APIs using established service and architecture patterns • Work with relational data stores and contribute to reliable data access and service integration patterns • Contribute to event-driven and asynchronous workflows, including message-based processing and background jobs • Run and support services across cloud and platform environments, including managed cloud services, containers, virtual machines, and other runtime models • Use CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code workflows to deliver changes safely and repeatably • Use logs, metrics, and traces to understand application behavior and diagnose production issues • Participate in technical design discussions, ADRs, RFCs, and code reviews, asking questions and contributing practical implementation feedback • Own defined areas of work and collaborate with more experienced engineers on broader architectural or cross-team decisions • Use AI-assisted engineering tools to speed up development, improve testing, explore codebases, and investigate technical problems

• Improve the architecture, stability, correctness and performance of the core Gecko accessibility engine. • Debug and fix problems in our multi-process, multi-threaded codebase. • Debug OS specific issues. • Build excellent working relationships with engineers and organizational leaders on other teams. • Collaborate with design and front-end teams to identify, assess, and remediate accessibility issues. • Influence web standards that provide or improve access to new web technology. • Work in the open as part of the Mozilla open source project and engage with Mozilla’s global community. • Work on infrastructure to expose the web platform to accessibility technology. • Meet standards for gecko's memory usage and performance. • Implement new web features to enable new kinds of applications and content types.
