Lead Frontend Engineer

Kunai

• Lead the technical design and implementation of major features across multiple frontend platforms, ensuring alignment with architectural best practices. • Act as the primary technical partner to UX/UI designers, translating complex designs into functional, pixel-perfect user interfaces and providing expert feedback on feasibility and user experience. • Drive architectural decisions for both Angular and React ecosystems, advocating for best practices and championing the adoption of new technologies. • Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing. • Architect and develop scalable, maintainable applications using modern versions of both Angular and React. • Implement robust state management solutions appropriate for each framework (e.g., NgRx, Redux, MobX). • Build and maintain Micro-Frontend architectures that may involve multiple frameworks. • Collaborate with backend teams to design, consume, and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs. • Write comprehensive, high-quality tests (unit, integration, E2E) to ensure application stability and maintain >80% code coverage.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional front-end development experience, with a proven track record of building complex, large-scale applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership or mentorship role, with the ability to guide project direction and elevate team skills.
  • Expert-level proficiency in both Angular and React frameworks, with a deep understanding of their core principles, performance characteristics, and ecosystems.
  • Strong command of TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Strong UX/UI Acumen: A keen eye for visual detail and user experience, with proven ability to translate high-fidelity designs (e.g., from Figma, Sketch) into high-quality, accessible, and functional code.
  • Extensive experience designing and consuming complex RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
  • Solid experience with modern testing frameworks and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
