Job Description
Vice President of AI Product Management
Expedient
Expedient, a fast-growing cloud service provider delivering secure and innovative solutions, is seeking an entrepreneurial product management leader to spearhead the full lifecycle of our AI CTRL product line. AI CTRL is Expedient’s suite of enterprise AI solutions designed to remove barriers to AI adoption at scale, helping customers unlock the promise of generative AI while addressing common challenges like data security and integration. As the VP of Product Management for AI CTRL, you will own the end-to-end product strategy and execution for this cutting-edge AI platform – from vision and roadmap to development, launch, and go-to-market success. This executive role reports to the President of AI and is fully remote, offering the opportunity to lead a strategic AI initiative from anywhere while driving outsized impact. The field of AI is experiencing explosive growth – 78% of companies used AI in 2024, up from 55% the year before, and generative AI investment reached nearly $34 billion globally in that year alone. Expedient’s AI CTRL initiative is at the forefront of this wave, enabling enterprises to embrace AI’s potential securely and effectively. In this high-impact role, you will define how businesses adopt AI by delivering innovative solutions and compelling go-to-market strategies that drive adoption. Your work will directly influence how companies large and small realize the transformative value of Expedient’s AI solutions, making you an essential driver of the AI CTRL initiative’s success. This is a chance to lead in a booming domain, inspire change across industries, and put your stamp on an industry-defining product line. RESPONSIBILITIES: Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and refine a bold product vision for the AI CTRL platform. Define the long-term product strategy and roadmap that align with our business goals and AI initiative’s mission, articulating a clear vision that inspires internal teams and customers alike. Product Roadmap & Lifecycle Ownership: Own the end-to-end product lifecycle – from ideation and requirements through development, launch, and continuous improvement. Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer needs and market impact, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality AI solutions.
Job Requirements
- Go-to-Market Execution & Channel Enablement: Lead go-to-market strategy and execution for product releases, working closely with marketing and sales to craft positioning and launch plans that resonate in the market. Drive partner and channel enablement by equipping resellers and alliances with the training, tools, and co-marketing support needed to successfully sell and deploy AI CTRL solutions.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate across engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to align product plans with business objectives. Serve as the connective tissue between teams – ensuring technical development, marketing campaigns, sales efforts, and support operations are synchronized for flawless product execution and customer experience.
- Solution Packaging & Launch: Design and optimize product packaging, pricing models, and solution bundles tailored to enterprise use cases. Orchestrate successful product launches that highlight our platform’s value, coordinating everything from internal readiness to external messaging for maximum market impact.
- Customer Insight & Iteration: Champion a customer-centric approach by leveraging early customer feedback, usage data, and market research to inform product direction. Use these insights to continuously refine the product roadmap and pricing strategy, ensuring our AI solutions remain compelling and competitively positioned as we scale.
- REQUIRED:
- Experience & Domain Expertise: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus). 10+ years of product management experience in software/technology, with a strong track record in enterprise SaaS or AI-related solutions. Proven success in taking new products from concept to scale.
- Strategic Go-to-Market Leadership: Demonstrated expertise in product roadmap ownership, pricing strategy, and go-to-market execution. Able to craft pricing models, define product positioning, and drive product launches that meet market needs and revenue goals.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven leadership in cross-functional environments, rallying diverse teams (engineering, sales, marketing, support) around a common product vision. Able to influence and build consensus at all levels, fostering collaboration without formal authority when necessary. Experience building and mentoring product teams is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-starting, entrepreneurial approach with a proactive drive to innovate. Thrives in fast-paced, early-stage or high-growth environments – comfortable with ambiguity and adept at pivoting when new opportunities or challenges arise. Brings a “build it from the ground up” mentality and bias for action.
- Customer Focus & Analytical Skills: Deep empathy for enterprise customers and a knack for translating their needs into product features and improvements. Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills to interpret usage data, market trends, and ROI metrics, guiding informed decisions on product direction.
- Technical & Business Acumen: Solid understanding of modern AI/ML technologies, cloud services, and enterprise IT environments (experience with AI platforms or cloud computing is beneficial). Able to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and articulate them as business value for stakeholders and clients. Exceptional communication and storytelling ability, with the skill to tailor messages to both C-level business leaders and hands-on technical teams.
