Lead Software Engineering Manager

This role plays a pivotal part in leading large engineering teams and overseeing multiple projects that drive data solutions aligned with organizational goals. You will lead and mentor a diverse team of data engineers, while establishing performance objectives and promoting skill development. This position requires collaboration with business stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure cohesive data strategy support for business objectives. You will work within a team setting while also possessing the ability to operate independently to enhance production applications through improving existing data solutions. Collaborates with product team members to create secure and scalable software solutions Documents and ensures that all quality and change control standards are met Automates infrastructure and monitoring services through custom code or scripts Works with vendors to ensure successful implementation of critical tools Creates dashboards and alerts to proactively address issues Evaluates new technologies for potential adoption across the enterprise Participates in review board sessions to drive consistency Provides leadership, mentoring, and coaching to Software Engineers Conducts annual and mid-year reviews to enhance individual and team performance Learns and adopts best practices from other technology organizations

Job Requirements

  • Mastery of an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in data engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience leading data engineering teams
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and ETL processes
  • Mastery of SQL queries for relational databases
  • Experience with project management methodologies
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and issue resolution techniques
  • Ability to understand complex systems quickly

Role Description Join a global leader in nutritional science as an Associate Account Manager, Health, Nutrition & Care supporting the dietary supplements market across the Southeastern United States, with a strong preference for candidates based in Florida where most of our customers are located.
