Principal Engineer, Sitecore Architect – Optimizely
Nagarro
• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Optimizely-based projects, from requirements gathering through deployment and support. • Design scalable, maintainable, and secure architectures using Optimizely CMS (PaaS/SaaS), Commerce, and the Optimizely One platform. • Define technical standards, best practices, coding guidelines, and governance frameworks for development teams. • Translate business requirements into technical designs, integration strategies, and detailed architecture documentation. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, conducting code reviews and ensuring quality. • Architect integrations between Optimizely and third-party systems (CRM, ERP, PIM, marketing automation, search, payment gateways). • Oversee performance optimization, caching strategies, scalability, and security across solutions. • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals. • Support pre-sales activities, including solution estimation, proposals, and technical demonstrations. • Stay current with the Optimizely roadmap, feature releases, experimentation, and personalization capabilities. • Design and integrate Optimizely Opal (AI agents and assistants) into solutions to automate content workflows, power experimentation, and deliver intelligent customer experiences.
Job Requirements
- Total experience 12+ Years
- Strong experience in software development experience, with architecting Optimizely (Episerver) solutions.
- Deep expertise in Optimizely CMS and/or Commerce, including content modeling, templating, and add-on development.
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core / MVC, and the .NET ecosystem.
- Experience with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React/Angular).
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and headless/decoupled architectures.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, caching, search (e.g., Optimizely Search & Navigation), and performance tuning.
- Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering enterprise projects.
- Optimizely certifications (Certified Developer, Solution Architect) are preferred.
- Experience with Optimizely Data Platform (ODP), Web Experimentation, and Feature Experimentation.
- Hands-on experience with Optimizely Opal AI — building or configuring AI agents, custom tools, and orchestration within the Optimizely One platform.
- Familiarity with content personalization and A/B testing strategies.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code.
- Consulting or client-facing delivery experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to balance technical depth with business pragmatism.
- Leadership, mentoring, and collaboration mindset.
