Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator / Scheduler to join our team, supporting permanent formwork projects from plan review through to quotation. In this role, you'll interpret construction drawings, quantify materials, prepare bills of quantities, and generate accurate quotes for our permanent formwork systems. You'll play a key part in ensuring estimates are completed efficiently and accurately while supporting the delivery of residential and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities - Review architectural and structural drawings for permanent formwork projects. - Read, interpret, and mark up construction plans. - Quantify materials required for each project. - Prepare detailed bills of quantities (BOQs). - Generate accurate quotations using the company's itemised pricing system. - Verify measurements and ensure estimates are complete and accurate. - Maintain organised project files and estimating documentation. - Liaise with internal team members to clarify project requirements when necessary. - Assist with scheduling and tracking estimating workloads to ensure timely quote delivery. - Continuously identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency. Qualifications - Previous experience in estimating, scheduling, or quantity surveying within the construction industry. - Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings. - Experience preparing material take-offs and bills of quantities. - Proficiency with Bluebeam is highly regarded. - Experience using estimating software such as PlanSwift or similar estimating platforms is also welcomed. - High level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Strong numerical and analytical skills. - Excellent organisational and time management abilities. - Ability to work independently while managing multiple estimates simultaneously. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
