This role offers the opportunity to lead and scale high-impact engineering teams focused on transforming offensive cybersecurity insights into autonomous, high-fidelity defensive capabilities. Own the development and delivery of key systems including tripwires, rapid response alerts, endpoint and identity protection, and detection integrations. Combine strategic leadership with deep technical oversight, balancing team growth, product roadmap ownership, and operational excellence. Manage multiple technical teams, shape SaaS product features, and implement scalable backend architectures. Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including product, security, and operations teams, to ensure defenses are effective, automated, and measurable. Influence the cybersecurity posture of organizations across industries while driving innovation in a fully remote, highly collaborative environment. Lead and scale multiple engineering teams responsible for autonomous defensive systems, including tripwires, rapid response, and endpoint security validation. Drive product ownership for precision defense features, from concept through deployment and iteration, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and threat intelligence. Architect and oversee distributed backend systems, ETL pipelines, and telemetry integrations to support scalable, reliable, and high-performance cybersecurity solutions. Translate offensive security insights into actionable defenses, integrating with EDR, SIEM, ITSM, and other control systems to enhance detection and response capabilities. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Security, and Operations to define technical priorities, roadmaps, and metrics for team success. Mentor and develop engineering managers and individual contributors, fostering a culture of high ownership, innovation, and continuous learning. Ensure system reliability, observability, and security best practices across all Precision Defense platforms.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive experience leading multiple engineering teams or a technical organization in SaaS, cybersecurity, or cloud-scale environments.
- Proven track record of taking complex products from concept to production, including POCs, MVPs, and iterative releases.
- Deep technical expertise in backend engineering, distributed systems, databases, ETL/data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Familiarity with detection and response technologies, including EDR, SIEM, threat detection rules, and attacker-informed defense strategies.
- Strong programming background (Python preferred; Go, Java, C++ also applicable) and experience with analytics- or graph-heavy workloads.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to operate in a remote-first, fast-paced, high-ownership environment while mentoring teams and balancing multiple initiatives.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and security best practices in multi-tenant SaaS environments.
