Position Summary: EverDriven is seeking a Senior Director, Northeast Policy to design and execute state-level policy campaigns across key Northeast markets. This role is central to advancing EverDriven’s policy priorities at the intersection of education, transportation, and technology, and to strengthening the company’s relationships with policymakers, regulators, and aligned stakeholders throughout the region. The Senior Director will lead day-to-day government and stakeholder engagement efforts, manage external partners, and serve as EverDriven’s primary policy presence in the Northeast. This role requires a sophisticated understanding of state policy ecosystems, strong political instincts, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory and political environments while advancing a mission-driven agenda. Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000/year, based on experience + bonus potential Location - Remote, must reside in the Northeast Responsibilities: Policy Strategy & Campaign Execution: Design and lead state-level policy campaigns across Northeast states that advance EverDriven’s priorities in education, transportation, and technology. Develop proactive and defensive strategies to respond to legislative, regulatory, and administrative developments that affect the company’s operations and growth. Government & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as EverDriven’s primary representative to elected officials, regulators, and senior government staff in assigned Northeast states. Build and sustain trusted relationships while managing day-to-day interactions that influence policy outcomes and regulatory decision-making. Coalition Building & External Partnerships: Develop and maintain coalitions with advocacy groups, industry associations, school districts, and aligned partners to advance shared policy goals. Represent EverDriven in external forums and coordinate collective action to strengthen the company’s policy impact and credibility. Management of External Partners: Oversee and coordinate government relations firms, consultants, and other external advisors operating in Northeast states. Ensure outside partners are aligned with EverDriven’s strategy, messaging, and execution priorities. Internal Collaboration & Leadership: Partner closely with the Chief Policy & Compliance Officer and cross-functional teams to align regional policy efforts with national strategy and business objectives. Provide timely analysis, updates, and recommendations to senior leadership to inform decision-making. Job Requirements

  • :
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8–10 years of experience in public policy, government affairs, political organizing, or advocacy roles
  • Demonstrated success leading statewide or multi-state political, policy, and/or regulatory efforts within the Northeast
  • Direct experience with political campaigns, legislative offices, advocacy organizations, or issue-based organizing
  • Deep knowledge of education policy, transportation policy, and/or technology policy
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships in politically sensitive environments
  • Experience working in or alongside regulated industries such as education, transportation, or technology
  • Track record of effectively managing external government relations firms or consultants
  • Strong political judgment, policy fluency, and strategic problem-solving skills
  • Outgoing, resilient, and adaptable leader with exceptional communication skills and a high degree of independence and accountability
