Associate Principal, Market Access, Strategic Pricing and Contracting
Avalere
• Develop and secure business within the life science space focusing on strategic pricing and contracting • Manage a portfolio of clients to meet client needs with a $500K annual sales target • Conceptualize project scope for clients, assemble teams, and oversee them from initiation to delivery • Serve as a subject matter expert on government pricing and reporting • Create strategic and tactical recommendations for optimal market access • Solve complex client issues in a timely manner with minimal management oversight • Generate public recognition for Avalere’s pricing capabilities through publications and speaking engagements • Mentor, supervise, and train staff within the Market Access practice
Job Requirements
- Advanced or undergraduate degree in health policy, public policy, healthcare management, public health, public administration, economics, health economics, business administration, accounting, law or a relevant discipline
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- 3+ years in access, formulary, and coverage strategy
- 3+ years in reimbursement-specific policy
- 2 years of project team leadership experience
- 5 years of management/supervisory experience
- 8+ years of relevant work experience preferred
- Consulting experience preferred
- Market access strategy and strategic pricing experience preferred
- Significant project management experience, interacting with senior-level executives preferred
- Experience analyzing policy proposals, legislation, and federal regulation preferred
- Excellent leadership/mentoring skills in developing staff
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytic skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Solid writing skills for professional business communication
- Proficiency in government pricing, government price reporting, drug pricing strategy, and Lexicon
- Ability to establish personal credibility as a strategic and pricing expert with clients
