• Responsible for the ICD and CPT coding, data entry and claims processing • Claim scrubs for clean claim submission • Work appeals/denials in a timely manner • Accurate coding and claims submission • Reviews and analyzes patient records • Research coding and claims questions • Ensures appropriate modifiers are assigned • Provides support to office managers and staff • Participates in coding audits and educational endeavors • Stays up to date on coding changes and updates • Answers emails and voicemails and returns calls • Completes requests for information promptly • Abides by and promotes HIPAA compliance • Participates in staff meetings as directed

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; CPC REQUIRED
  • 3-4 years of coding and/or medical office and billing experience
  • Skills and knowledge of EMR software functionality and operations
  • Proficiency in multiple Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge and ability to respond to claims questions and denials
  • Advanced knowledge in E&M and procedural Coding preferred
  • Specialty clinical experience in Gastroenterology experience preferred.

Role Description This position is an opportunity to become directly involved in the daily operations of the Accounts Receivables department within Treasury Operations. This position requires negotiation skills, excellent oral and written ability, and the aptitude to research payment and reimbursement issues in a fast-paced environment. - Independently manage and collect high volume claims ARs from providers of approximately $25 million annually, while maintaining positive relationships. - Review and analyze aged trial balance monthly for collection activity; initiate dunning letters and telephone contact with providers for past due issues. - Set up and monitor budget arrangements with providers. - Address provider appeals through research and coordination with internal business partners. - Set up manual ARs as required for claim and non-claim receivables. - Utilize systems to expedite recovery through offset deduction process or transfer of funds. - Refer accounts to outside collection agency as appropriate. Role Description The Accounts Receivable Manager (Provider Relations Lead Analyst) is responsible for account receivable activity for a specific Provider Book of Business tied to an account management team. They will be a key partner to the Provider Relations Executive supporting strategic planning to improve provider experience. Ensures timely and accurate claims administration, proactively monitors results, and leverages resources and tools to assist Health Care Providers in managing their accounts receivables. Provides direction and guidance regarding policies, procedures, workflows, claim service quality, and training needs. Regularly meets with assigned Health Care Providers to discuss results, review issue trends, and develop action plans for improvement. Engages matrix partners to achieve service improvements and minimize contract interpretation issues. Communicates and educates internally regarding issues and trends to minimize errors and improve claim accuracy. They monitor contractual performance guarantees and late payment interest to minimize financial impacts.
