IFS Project & Finance Consultant

• Support and resolve IFS Finance cases across GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets and lease accounting, Group consolidation, Tax reporting, Project Accounting, Business planning, and Cash Management. • Support and resolve IFS Projects module cases across project types, budgets, costing, and deliverables. • Configure and validate financial posting rules, voucher types, and period controls. • Manage end-to-end lifecycle for the project module, including project structures, phases, milestones, and cost elements. • Troubleshoot project actuals, WIP recognition, and revenue recognition issues. • Support CRIM configuration and the CRIM development workstream, including data setup and UAT coordination. • Troubleshoot erroneous postings, batch invoicing failures, and reconciliation discrepancies. • Assist with financial project data repairs and period-end project close activities. • Assist with payroll extract and integration issues touching the finance layer. • Support workflow and financial automation queries. • Manage period-end and year-end close support activities. • Document case resolutions, root-cause analyses, and knowledge base articles. • Produce clear, professional client-facing case updates and status communications. • Participate in continuous improvement activities and enhancement delivery.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years hands-on IFS experience across BOTH Finance and Projects modules (implementation or support)
- Foundation-level or higher accounting qualification.
- Strong working knowledge of IFS GL, AP, AR, and Fixed Assets.
- Strong working knowledge of IFS project costing, budgeting, and deliverable management.
- Demonstrated independent diagnosis and resolution of complex IFS configuration issues.
- Customer/client support experience in a live, ticketed environment.
- Excellent written English — client-facing documentation is a core, daily requirement.
- Based in Australia with unrestricted right to work; comfortable with a fully remote, occasionally travelling role.

• You'll own and sign off, while our finance specialist handles day-to-day execution: Run the monthly close across our UK and Poland entities; protect balance sheet integrity across accruals, deferrals, intercompany and revenue recognition • Make sure statutory reporting obligations are met; coordinate our UK and Poland accountants • Own ledger hygiene: chart of accounts discipline, reconciliation standards and accounting policies • Keep VAT, payroll tax and other statutory payments on time in both markets, backed by compliance checklists and audit trails • Monitor tax-thresholds in Singapore, Australia and US markets and act when necessary • Be able to step in and cover core bookkeeping tasks during absence or rotation • Own forecasting and budgeting (monthly, quarterly and annual) with clear scenarios and assumptions • Produce management accounts and variance analysis across P&L, cash flow and key drivers • Present financial results to the Board; support the founders' relationship with investors • Manage payment rails, FX execution and cash movement across entities; keep cash safe and interest-earning • Drive advisor-backed tax optimisation and manage transfer pricing across the UK and Poland • Identify and execute on cost cutting opportunities • Cut manual finance work through better tooling; build controls like automated reconciliations by design • Manage external accounting teams; maintain the SOPs, calendars and escalation paths that keep execution predictable • Keep the company legally on track across the UK and Poland, managing external lawyers and monitoring regulatory change
