Role Description Organizes various information and resources for others to leverage when identifying appropriate solutions to meet lead/prospect/customer needs and utilizes standard knowledge to address lead/prospect/customer questions in issues in a timely manner. Generates prospective sales by following detailed instructions and broad guidance to support others prospecting, sourcing, developing, and maximizing referral networks. Gathers information used for developing sales strategy, organizes data for sales status reports, and uses common processes for applying research and information on health care to help others articulate internal sales strategies and drive external sales. Works within team to support data collection on trends related to sales strategy and follows detailed instructions to accomplish sales plans and help drive internal negotiations and sales strategy. Supports others in identifying resources, including following through on intended outcomes, to achieve or support sales targets/goals/initiatives. Advocates for process improvement by following detailed instructions to support others in identifying and implementing initiatives for overcoming obstacles to sales progress and ensuring objectives are met, identifying new and improving existing process-related initiatives, resolving risks to compliance, and tracking and articulating performance trends and updates, with moderate guidance. Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent AND minimum one (1) year of experience working in a corporate or business office environment, which can include relevant internship experience OR minimum two (2) years of experience working in a corporate or business office environment, which can include relevant internship experience. - Health Insurance License (Oregon) within 3 months of hire. - Disability Insurance License (Washington) within 3 months of hire. Role Description The Logistics 3PL Carrier Sales Associate (CSA) will be responsible for establishing, expanding, and maintaining relationships with quality carriers for North America. This role involves sourcing new carriers, managing a strong carrier network, negotiating rates, and ensuring timely and efficient transportation services to deliver a positive end-to-end experience for our clients. An ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and professional grit to succeed in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Duties and Responsibilities - Relationship Management: - Build and maintain relationships with carriers, dispatchers, and load planners for North America. - Maintain constant contact with carriers to secure additional truck capacity and manage existing business. - Act as a primary liaison between drivers and customers to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction. - Carrier Sourcing and Procurement: - Identify, source, and procure new carrier relationships to expand the carrier network for North America. - Utilize TMS and other software tools to make informed carrier selection and load assignment procurement decisions. - Ensure accurate completion of assigned loads, including coding of accessorial charges. - Negotiate rates and service agreements for both spot and dedicated business. - Service Excellence: - Manage the carrier network to ensure high service levels and customer satisfaction. - Strategically match available carrier equipment with open loads to maximize efficiency. - Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery. - Promptly and effectively address, research, and resolve any transportation needs or issues. - Expectation Management: - Confirm that each partner carrier has an adequate understanding of all customer and company expectations on each load at the point of dispatch. - Ensure shipment details and process instructions are accurately communicated, promptly responded to, escalated, tracked, and monitored via applicable communication method or TMS. - Data & Technology Utilization: - Navigate internal and external customer TMS and related technology tools ensuring all transactions, documentation, and interactions are accurately recorded and compliant with company standard operating procedures. - Collaboration and Communication: - Partner with internal teams to collaborate aligning carrier capacity with customer demands and operational goals. - Communicate effectively with associates from other shifts to ensure seamless operations. - Market Trends: - Stay up to date on the industry and market with the ability to adapt to the ever-changing market conditions. - Additional Duties: - Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned to support the overall logistics and sales functions.
