Teaching hours depend on teacher availability within the schedule options above. • Assist in training various specialty skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within a specified program. • Utilize knowledge of adult learning theories and learning styles to help maximize learner success and ensure overall effectiveness of the course instruction. • Perform online and/or classroom instruction, field-based skills training, and/or may provide technical assistance in a specialty area. • Use a variety of media to present course material. • May assist in creating new and/or updating curriculum content, when necessary, to meet learner needs. • Expected to maintain their technical competence and skills.

• Identify trends impeding academic success. • Conduct targeted outreach and provide instruction to target groups and individuals. • Build capable learners, confident in their ability to succeed academically and in life. • Mentor students and facilitate teaching/learning experiences. • Communicate regularly with students regarding their participation and performance, and carry out outreach efforts to ensure effective instruction and mentoring throughout the course. • Utilize university and department-level procedures and materials to mentor and teach students.
