Role Description ServiceNow Developer IV is a technical leader responsible for defining the architecture, strategy, and engineering standards of the ServiceNow platform across the enterprise. This role leads large-scale, complex initiatives, drives platform innovation (including AI and automation), and ensures alignment with business and technology strategy. The ServiceNow Developer IV operates as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while mentoring senior engineers and influencing the overall direction of the platform. - Define and own the technical architecture and engineering strategy for the ServiceNow platform across all modules. - Lead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide, highly complex solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. - Establish and govern platform standards, including development frameworks, data models, integration patterns, and security controls. - Serve as the final technical authority for design decisions, architecture reviews, and complex problem resolution. - Drive platform transformation initiatives, including AI/Agentic AI, automation, and autonomous operations capabilities. - Architect and oversee complex integrations across enterprise systems (event-driven, API-led, middleware-based). - Lead the design and implementation of Agentic AI solutions within ServiceNow (e.g., Now Assist, AI Agents, predictive intelligence), enabling autonomous decisioning, workflow orchestration, and self-healing capabilities across IT and business processes. - Provide deep technical expertise in integrating AI/ML models, external AI platforms, and ServiceNow data to drive intelligent automation, including governance, model performance monitoring, and continuous optimization of AI-driven workflows. - Partner with enterprise architects, SRE, DevOps, and product leadership to align platform capabilities with business outcomes. - Lead platform roadmap planning, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and future-state architecture. - Drive adoption of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and engineering excellence, including automated testing and deployment pipelines. - Establish observability and performance engineering standards for the platform. - Oversee and guide major upgrades and platform lifecycle management. - Mentor lower level Developers and broader engineering teams; define career progression, standards, and best practices. - Influence and collaborate with executive stakeholders (CIO, VP, Directors) on platform investments and priorities. - Evaluate and introduce new ServiceNow capabilities, products, and emerging technologies. - Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements at an enterprise level. - Perform any other job related duties as requested. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required. - Equivalent years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of required education. - Eight (8) years of experience in ServiceNow development, platform engineering, or enterprise application architecture required. - Proven experience leading enterprise-scale implementations and platform transformations required.
