• Administer and monitor our hybrid database ecosystem: SingleStoreDB, MongoDB, and MySQL (Cloud and On-premise). • Guarantee 99.99% availability and robust security for our on-premise MySQL instances driving the SPEI platform. • Proactively identify bottlenecks, optimize complex queries, refine indexes, and manage partitioning to ensure millisecond-level latencies. • Integrate Generative AI tools into daily workflow to speed up log analysis, automate scripting, and simulate load scenarios. • Collaborate with Backend and Data Engineering teams to design scalable data models prepared for high-volume growth. • Maintain strict backup policies, disaster recovery plans (DRP), and access controls adhering to fintech regulations.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years as a DBA in high-transaction, production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with MySQL, MongoDB, and distributed databases like SingleStoreDB (or similar).
- Deep expertise in execution plans, query optimization, and hardware/resource tuning (CPU, I/O, Memory).
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to increase efficiency, automate tasks, and write robust infrastructure scripts.
- Experience handling critical financial systems or payment gateways (knowledge of SPEI regulations is a major plus).
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible) is highly valued.
- Expertise in advanced database replication strategies and hands-on experience with cross-site replication for Disaster Recovery (DRP).

• IT Database Administrator is responsible for administration of database platforms including monitoring, installation, configuration, debugging, administration, backup, recovery, troubleshooting, SQL tuning, and maintenance of database technologies. • IT database administrator is responsible for database design, deploying database objects and ensuring data integrity is maintained and secured. • IT Database administrator is also responsible to design and build high availability solutions to ensure stable and efficient operation of database technology solutions • Performs installation, monitoring, testing, configuration, migration, maintenance, tuning, and troubleshooting of assigned database technology, as well as designing database deployments for high availability. Ensure database versions are current and deploys patches as required.
