Associate Director, Business Development – Real World Evidence (RWE)

Role Description Secure and retain business through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and decision influencers at existing and new pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. Lead business development activities for IQVIA’s Real World Evidence (RWE) business across LATAM, with primary focus on Brazil. This role is expected to drive growth, expand client relationships, lead strategic opportunities, and manage business development resources supporting the RWE business in the region. - Actively prospect and leverage new business opportunities within existing and new customers/accounts across Brazil and LATAM. - Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations. - Develop and execute strategic account plans and sales plans for target clients. - Lead the sales process, including client engagement, sales presentations, opportunity shaping, and solution positioning. - Coordinate with internal scientific, technical, operational, contracts, and proposal teams to develop client-focused solutions and proposals. - Drive follow-up activities related to sales opportunities and support completion of contractual documents. - Maintain visibility within customer organizations and monitor customer satisfaction through regular engagement. - Continuously monitor status of leads and opportunities to maintain a healthy pipeline. - Report sales activities and opportunities in CRM and provide updates to sales leadership as required. - Serve as a liaison between the customer and IQVIA technical and operational teams. - Lead, coach, and manage business development team members supporting the RWE business in the region. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Public Health, or related discipline. - Significant experience in business development, sales, account management, or related commercial roles within the pharmaceutical, CRO, healthcare, or consulting environment. - Demonstrated people management experience. - Strong ability to develop relationships with senior stakeholders and influence decision-makers. - Strong consultative selling, communication, and presentation skills. - Strong business acumen and ability to interpret client needs and industry trends. - Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize opportunities, and manage multiple activities simultaneously. - Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal (Global team). - Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across cross-functional and multicultural teams. Requirements - Experience working with scientific studies, evidence generation, or research-related solutions is preferred. - Experience selling studies or research-based solutions is a strong differentiator. - Experience in CROs, consulting firms, or pharmaceutical companies is preferred. - Familiarity with Real World Evidence, observational studies, database studies, or broader evidence-generation solutions is an advantage.
