SAP S/4HANA Data & Integration Engineer
Quadratic DigitalQuadratic Digital LLC is a Pennsylvania-headquartered small business focused exclusively on public-sector IT modernization — legacy system modernization, secure API development, identity and access management, data migration, and independent quality/oversight for mission-critical government systems.
Role Description We are building hands-on SAP S/4HANA data and integration capability to support public-sector transition programs that retire legacy, flat-file interfaces in favor of modern SAP S/4HANA APIs, data services, and Okta-based identity. You will be the engineer who reads SAP S/4HANA data structures, maps legacy data to them, and helps agency and delivery teams stand up secure, modern integrations — working alongside client and SAP technical leads. This role directly addresses the data-mapping, API/integration, and reporting workstreams at the heart of Commonwealth SAP modernization work. - Data mapping & transformation analysis — compare legacy source fields against SAP S/4HANA data structures (tables, CDS views, data dictionary); identify gaps, misalignments, and required transformations; produce field-level mapping workbooks, data dictionaries, and IRIS-to-SAP-style crosswalks. - API & integration design — design, configure, and validate integrations against SAP S/4HANA APIs (OData/REST), SAP BTP / Integration Suite, and SAP data lake / Datasphere; support the move from flat-file patterns to modern, secure API-based solutions, including data-contract validation and environment readiness. - Hands-on troubleshooting — review and resolve end-to-end integration workflows with agency developers and SAP/IESO technical leads; support alternative patterns (e.g., middleware) where systems cannot yet consume APIs. - Identity / provisioning support (Okta) — support user-provisioning transitions to Okta (HR-attribute mapping, SCIM/provisioning logic, and group rules), sourcing employee identity data from SAP. (Strongly preferred; see requirements.) - Documentation & enablement — produce API set-up guides, example payloads, technical walkthroughs, data validation checklists, and integration-readiness templates that let agency teams self-serve. - Testing, cutover & hypercare — support test planning, data-continuity validation, cutover readiness, and post-go-live stabilization. Benefits - Mission-first public-sector work with real impact - Lean and collaborative team - PA-local presence with remote flexibility - Chance to shape a growing SAP/identity modernization practice Company Description Quadratic Digital LLC is a Pennsylvania-headquartered small business focused exclusively on public-sector IT modernization — legacy system modernization, secure API development, data migration, cloud DevSecOps, and independent quality/oversight for mission-critical government systems. We are headquartered in New Cumberland, PA, minutes from Harrisburg, and deliver with full-time employees and a mission-first, best-value posture. Our work spans federal healthcare modernization (CMS/Medicaid) and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania IT services.
