The Senior Production Designer will be a member of VSA’s Production Team. Production is a fully integrated team that works collaboratively with all VSA disciplines and across all clients, mediums and geographies. The Senior Production Designer is typically involved from client approval of a creative concept through final delivery. They will collaborate with the Producer and/or Project Manager and Creative Leads on projects to execute the creative vision. These projects can range from internal VSA or client communications to various forms of print advertising, promotional pieces, static social media assets and presentations. They are responsible for ensuring files adhere to specifications and are technically correct for the intended reproduction conditions. The Senior Production Designer is expected to adhere to scheduled deadlines for reviews and to deliver pristine final files on deadline and maintain all VSA best practices. Responsibilities: - Manage workload to timelines set by Producer or Project Manager. - Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure on-time delivery. - Assist in defining and executing production standards on a project. - Address production challenges, troubleshoot and find solutions. - Quickly grasp and apply design intent. - Ensure technically sound file construction. - Adhere to client brand standards. - Manage multiple assignments simultaneously. - Collaborate effectively across VSA’s departments. - Maintain Production Team and VSA standards and conventions by: - Keeping a professional, positive, proactive and solutions-oriented mentality. - Striving for excellence in execution of all assignments. - Keeping files current and backed up. - Maintaining accurate naming conventions and file standards. - Ensuring on-time and accurate time entry in Workamajig. - Additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: - 5+ years minimum working experience in a creative production role; agency experience is a plus. - Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on InDesign and Illustrator. - Expertise in presentation production (PowerPoint and Google Slides). - Expertise in Figma. - Experience using Google Cloud applications: Slides, Docs, Sheet, etc. - Experience with interactive PDFs and HTML is a plus. - Excellent design, color and typographic skills. - Strong oral and written communication skills. - Adept at preemptively identifying problems and devising solutions. - Commitment to high-quality work. - Ability to maintain positive and productive relationships with clients, team members, peers and managers. - Versatility and the ability to handle multiple projects and re-prioritizations. - Ability to organize information, prioritize, have attention to detail and accurately follow procedures. - Ability to maintain self-motivation and work independently.
