Role Description Join the Digital Workflow Solutions business as an Advanced Software Engineer. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise software solutions that support Digital Workflow Solutions products and services. You will partner with Product Management, Architecture, Verification, and Operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions for STERIS Customers. The Advanced Software Engineer will work independently on complex technical problems, contribute to solution design and technical decision-making, and provide mentoring and guidance to other engineers. You will support modernization initiatives, cloud technologies, and continuous improvement of software quality, performance, and operational reliability. This position reports into a Software Product Development team, not IT. Experience developing Commercial Software used by Corporations is required. This is a remote role. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. - 10+ years of professional software development experience. - 8+ years of experience with C#, .NET, SQL Server, and modern software development principles. - Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and distributed software solutions. - Experience with source control systems such as Git and modern DevOps practices. - Experience with Agile development methodologies. - Experience supporting production systems and participating in troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities. Requirements - Master's Degree preferred. - Experience developing, deploying, or supporting cloud-based applications using Azure or AWS preferred. - Experience working in healthcare, medical device, regulated, or quality-managed software environments. - Experience supporting cloud modernization or application transformation initiatives. - Experience integrating enterprise applications using APIs, messaging, or third-party interfaces. - Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and contributing to a strong engineering culture. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software quality practices preferred. - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technologies preferred.
