Hardware Engineer
Law Firm Defender
Law Firm–Focused MSP | Raleigh, NC (Remote with Occasional On-Site) We are a growing managed services provider focused exclusively on law firms, and we’re looking for a seasoned Hardware, Security & Infrastructure Engineer to join us on a contract basis to start. This role is ideal for someone who loves solving complex technical problems, takes pride in documentation, and enjoys being part of a collaborative, growing MSP—without ego. This is a hands-on, Tier 3 role with room to grow as our MSP practice expands. What You’ll Do Hardware & Network Infrastructure Install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain: SonicWall firewalls Physical and virtual servers Wireless networks (Ruckus experience strongly preferred) Other networking and infrastructure equipment, especially printers Handle hardware refreshes, replacements, and lifecycle planning Troubleshooting & Support Diagnose and resolve complex: Network and connectivity issues Internet outages and performance problems VoIP / phone system issues Provide Tier 3 escalation support for internal team members and clients Microsoft 365 & Software Be fluent in Microsoft 365 administration, including: User and license management Email and security troubleshooting General tenant health and best practices Azure Intune device implementation on laptops and phones Conditional access polices MSP & Security Services Support and help grow our MSP offerings Hands-on experience with: N-able (RMM and security tools) Spam filtering Endpoint protection / antivirus Security-first mindset, especially for law firm environments Documentation & Process Create and maintain clear, usable technical documentation Improve standards, playbooks, and internal processes Leave things better documented than you found them General Support Willing to jump in and do the “grunt work” when needed Help wherever the team needs support—no “that’s not my job” mentality Who You Are
