Data Strategic and Operational Advisor
Worldwide Clinical Trials
Role Description The Data Strategic and Operational Advisor will provide executive-level support across strategic coordination, operational execution, program and project management, and cross-functional initiative alignment. Executive Operations and Coordination - Synthesize information across the Data and Technology organization (Data Foundry, Data Products, Data Intelligence teams) and present high-level digests to the Vice President, Data Operations and Technology Officer. - Identify emerging operational bottlenecks and flag them proactively for resolution. - Coordinate cross-team dependencies and track resolution status against commitments. - Prepare meeting agendas, briefing documents, and decision-ready summaries. - Support operational coordination and stakeholder alignment on strategic initiatives. Strategic Initiative Execution - Drive execution of WCT Data Strategy v6.0 (2026-2028) across 17 phases during the term of this engagement. - Support planning and execution of the Azure and Databricks medallion lakehouse initiative spanning dual tenants (Catalyst and Worldwide). - Support planning and execution of clinical data integration initiatives (Partex.AI and Innoplexus integration). - Track progress, identify obstacles, and escalate risks to the Vice President, Data Operations and Technology Officer with recommended mitigation approaches. - Coordinate stakeholder communication and alignment. Program and Project Management Coordination - Serve as primary connector between Director-level stakeholders and the Senior Manager of Technology Operations (India-based role) on the Data and Technology team and cross-functional partners, ensuring alignment of priorities and execution. - Interface with the Data and Technology Program Manager to support alignment of portfolio priorities, resource allocation, and strategic roadmap execution. - Coordinate with enterprise program managers and the EPMO (Enterprise Program Management Office) on strategic initiatives, governance, and reporting. - Maintain visibility into program dependencies, timelines, and resource constraints across the data technology portfolio. - Translate between technical teams, program management, and executive stakeholder expectations. - Lead and/or support the tracking of project health metrics, identify risks and schedule variances, and escalate with mitigation recommendations. - Ensure alignment across program governance structures (steering committees, portfolio reviews, executive dashboards). Strategic Documentation and Analysis - Support development and iteration of strategic documents including architecture specifications, integration requirements, and hiring job descriptions. - Shepherd the creation of visual representations for complex systems, integration flows, and organizational structures. - Synthesize technical specifications, vendor proposals, and evaluation frameworks for decision-making. - Document strategic decisions, rationale, and implementation plans.
