Role Description The Lead Architect is responsible for the architecture and design of new or enhanced products and services, developing proposed solutions that fit client requirements and position Unisys competitively. This role utilizes deep technical and architectural expertise to drive innovation into products and services, translating client business requirements and goals into specific, deliverable solutions. The Lead Architect provides consulting and selling support to strategic prospects and accounts, articulating the Unisys value proposition and offering thought-leadership to business-oriented, technical, and other audiences. Solutions are designed to achieve financial goals as well as meet or exceed the requirements of service delivery. Core Responsibilities - Solution Design & Architecture - Assesses / audits existing product ecosystems and recommends optimization strategies based on client objectives, past experience, and industry best practice. - Designs relevant and multi-faceted architecture / documentation to support recommended approaches. - Creates comprehensive roadmaps governing near- and long-term actions for solution design, deployment, and enhancement. - Client Consulting & Value Articulation - Provides consulting and pre-sales support to strategic prospects and accounts. - Articulates the Unisys value proposition and architects custom solutions as needed. - Offers thought-leadership to business-oriented, technical, and other audiences. - Project Governance & Estimation - Contributes to solution project estimation, scope definition, resource allocation, and timeline development. - Recommends management and governance policies using client constraints. - Financial & Delivery Alignment - Designs solutions that achieve financial goals as well as meet or exceed the requirements of service delivery. - Ensures proposed solutions position Unisys competitively while remaining technically feasible and aligned with business objectives. Qualifications - BA/BS degree and 6–8 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. - Demonstrated ability to design and architect enterprise-level technical solutions. - Strong consulting, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. - U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residency required. Requirements - This role may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology. The Role: The Delivery organization owns the process of getting our new clients from implementation kickoff through launch to stability and handoff to the client management team.
