Role Description iRhythm Technologies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Analyst to join our Tax & Treasury team. This is an exciting opportunity for a developing tax professional to gain broad exposure across both direct and indirect tax disciplines at a growing, publicly traded medical device company. The Tax Analyst will play an integral role in supporting compliance, provision, and planning workstreams, while helping the Company bring additional work in-house that is currently performed by a Big Four accounting firm. - Assist with the preparation and timely filing of U.S. and foreign indirect tax returns, including sales and use tax, VAT, GST, and other transaction taxes. - Gather, compile, and review financial data, workpapers, and supporting schedules required for tax return preparation. - Assist with the preparation of the Company’s quarterly and annual income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740. - Support documentation of tax accounting policies and internal controls related to the income tax provision. - Provide research and analytical support on a variety of special projects, which may include: - Transfer pricing studies and intercompany transaction documentation - Mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring transactions - Domestic and international tax planning initiatives - Income tax audits (federal, state, and foreign) - Treasury-related tax matters - Assist with preparation of responses to tax notices, audits, and inquiries from federal, state, local, and foreign taxing authorities. - Support the VP, Tax & Treasury on ad hoc projects and analyses as business needs evolve. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree. - 2–3 years of corporate tax experience. Preferred Qualifications - Master’s degree in Taxation (MST or LLM in Taxation) or actively enrolled in a graduate tax program. Requirements - Working knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax concepts and indirect tax principles. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); strong Excel skills required. - Experience with or demonstrated ability to learn tax research platforms (e.g., LexisNexis, BNA, Checkpoint, or similar). - Strong analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills. - Exposure to international tax concepts, including transfer pricing, foreign tax credits, or cross-border structuring. - Familiarity with ASC 740 income tax accounting concepts. Work Environment / Other Requirements - This is a fully remote position based in the United States. - The Tax Analyst will be expected to travel to iRhythm’s San Diego, California office on an as-needed basis for team meetings, training, and collaborative work sessions. - Frequency of travel will vary based on business need but is not expected to exceed quarterly. - Ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration with team members and business partners.
