Job Description
Staff GTM Engineer
Buildkite
Role Description We’re looking for a Staff Go-To-Market (GTM) Engineer to build the orchestration engine powering our go-to-market strategy; the data foundations, agentic tooling and workflows that supercharge how our Sales and Brand teams operate end-to-end. We need someone who is technically hardcore and commercially fluent. Someone who understands how revenue is actually created: how pipeline moves, why deals stall, what signals matter, how lifecycle works, what “good” looks like in outbound/inbound. What You’ll Do - Model a new realm for RevOps - Map Buildkite’s GTM and brand experience end-to-end - Build a signal taxonomy across the full customer journey and define what signals are actionable at each stage - Partner tightly with Sales and Brand to turn ambiguity into clarity - Spike and implement the GTM foundation - Establish and protect a clean, enforceable data foundation - Develop a coherent operating system without tool sprawl - Build workflows that are safe at volume - Build hybrid workflows that supercharge execution - Design agentic workflows that accelerate human work without removing human judgment - Implement guardrails and quality controls so agentic output stays trustworthy - Build systems that respect reality and provide clarity - Ship “stage plays” moving the funnel - Devise and ship stage plays across all stages of the customer journey - Make plays measurable and iterative, learn fast with deep insight, harden what works - Work side-by-side with Sales and Brand to diagnose funnel friction and ship fixes that stick - Run an OS that compounds - You’ll operate with a cadence that scales beyond any single person - Foundation loop: keep data trustworthy without manual heroics - Signal loop: capture→normalise→model→route - Play loop: prototype→ship→measure→iterate - Quality loop: eval, sampling and review gates that keep orchestration sharp, safe and on-brand - Adoption loop: clear, transparent enablement and docs so systems become defaults - Raise the bar for how GTM is deployed - Document decisions, risks, and tradeoffs like an engineering team, because this is an engineering problem with a commercial impact - Create standards and reusable components so GTM execution becomes faster and better over time, not more fragile as it scales. Qualifications - Engineering background; you’ve shipped and operated production systems, and you have the hunger to define a new system - GTM engineering experience; you’ve built systems that power revenue teams, can point to failures and also outcomes - Experience sequencing and scripting AI-led tooling such as Metaflow, Clay, Customer.io, and reo.dev (or adjacent toolchains) - Sales fluency; you know how sales works in practice, how to identify process gaps, what will be useful to technical Sales team members - Marketing fluency; you understand how modern marketing works now as opposed to 2024, beyond personas and ICP, into brand consistency, tailored enrichment and demand capture - Agentic workflow maturity; you’ve built and scaled AI-led workflows - Systems thinking under constraints: you can take a messy, cross-functional process and design a simple, reliable system that improves it permanently - Commercial judgment; you think laterally solving funnel issues, care deeply about ROI and avoid vanity metrics - Clear written communication; you document clearly so the system can be trusted, maintained, and improved by others - Comfort working async in a high-trust environment where you own problems end-to-end Requirements - Comfort with SQL and lightweight scripting (TypeScript/Python) for integrations, QA harnesses, and workflow glue. - Experience with CRM/data architecture and the realities of “scale without breaking.” - Familiarity with intent/ABM systems, plus strong instincts for deliverability and suppression discipline. - Experience operating in developer tools / technical GTM motions (where credibility and trust are the whole game). Benefits - Competitive compensation and benefits package - Flexible, remote-first culture - Opportunities for professional growth and advancement - Help shape a proactive, world-class support function for enterprise customers - An inclusive, innovative culture where your ideas make a real impact Equal Opportunity Employer At Buildkite, we value diversity and celebrate all types of skills, backgrounds, and experiences. We’re dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment and providing reasonable accommodations throughout our recruitment process. If you need any accommodations or support during the application or interview process, please reach out to us at accommodations@buildkite.com.

Full Stack Quantitative Developer
Portfolio BIEDM + OMS & PMS + Public Cloud Managed Services = Portfolio BI
Role Description Portfolio BI’s flagship products and services, PBI Axiom, PBI Vector, and PBI Stratus, enable alternative asset managers to address their data challenges in analytics, workflow, governance, and security. We are hiring a Full Stack Quantitative Developer to design, build, and own end-to-end applications that support credit, private credit, structured products, and CLO businesses. This is a hands-on engineering role with quant DNA: - Write production code across the stack. - Model financial cash flows and risk. - Integrate market data and pricing services. - Partner directly with client solutions group, portfolio managers, risk, operations, and investor relations. You will work alongside the CIO and senior members of Business Technology to contribute to the modernization of the analytics and reporting platform: - Move legacy applications to a responsive, cloud-aware architecture. - Replace ad-hoc spreadsheets with auditable services. - Build the data and tooling layer that supports the firm’s various lines of business. You will also be expected to use AI coding assistants as a daily part of your workflow. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree (or higher) from a top-tier university in computer science, mathematics, physics, financial engineering, or another quantitative discipline. - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including production ownership of customer-facing or business-critical systems. - 2+ years working in capital markets, ideally at a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, or financial technology vendor - with direct exposure to fixed income, structured products, derivatives, private credit, or CLOs. - Demonstrated success delivering full-stack applications end-to-end, from requirements through production deployment and support. Requirements - Languages: strong proficiency in at least one of Python, C#/.NET, or TypeScript/JavaScript, and working competence in a second. - Backend: REST APIs, asynchronous services, and microservice patterns. Python or .NET/C# experience strongly preferred given existing systems. - Frontend: modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Angular), responsive web design, HTML5/CSS, and cross-platform optimization for mobile. - Data: expert SQL (window functions, query tuning, set-based thinking); experience with NoSQL/document stores. - Quant / numerical: comfortable with NumPy/pandas (or equivalent), basic statistics, fixed-income math (duration, convexity, OAS), and cash flow modeling. - Tooling: Git (or TFS), CI/CD, DevOps, Confluence, unit and integration testing frameworks. - Cloud: experience deploying and operating services on Azure or AWS is a plus. - Reporting / BI: Tableau dashboard development or SSRS a plus. General Skills - Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills; you reason from first principles and verify assumptions. - Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain technical work to PMs and senior executives. - Self-starter with strong work ethic; comfortable juggling multiple workstreams under deadline pressure. - Detail-oriented, with high standards for code quality, data accuracy, and operational discipline. - Team player who collaborates well across technical and non-technical groups. Key Responsibilities - Build full-stack applications across our credit, private credit, and structured products platforms — backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and modern web front ends used by various business teams across the firm. - Develop quantitative models and analytics for fixed-income and structured product valuation, cash flow projections, scenario analysis, and portfolio risk decomposition. - Integrate third-party systems including Geneva (portfolio accounting), market data vendors, CRM platforms, and administrative platforms; design clean, well-tested adapters and reconciliation logic. - Participate in the migration of legacy .NET/C# applications and SSRS reports to modern, scalable architectures (TypeScript/React front ends, Python or .NET services, cloud-deployed) with responsive UX across desktop and mobile. - Own data quality end-to-end - ingestion, normalization, validation, and lineage - for firmwide positions, partnering with the data management team on governance and controls. - Build reporting and BI spanning Tableau dashboards, internal web tooling, investor reporting, and ad-hoc requests for portfolio composition and DDQ responses. - Translate business needs into engineering — gather requirements directly from PMs, analysts, risk, IR, and operations; document functional and technical specs; write clear UAT plans and lead testing. - Ship like an engineer - write tests, use source control (GIT/TFS), open clean PRs, manage tickets in DevOps, deploy through CI/CD, and monitor what you ship in production. - Use AI coding assistants well - accelerate delivery, reduce boilerplate, and improve code quality, while applying the verification, security, and review standards described later in this document.
