• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare estimates for commercial landscape construction projects. • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation to identify scope requirements and risks. • Prepare and manage RFIs, clarifications, addenda, revisions, and bid updates. • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and scope coverage. • Support material pricing strategy and subcontractor quote evaluations. • Provide pre-construction support and cost analysis throughout the bidding process. • Review project scope beyond takeoff quantities to ensure estimate completeness and accuracy. • Communicate directly with subcontractors and suppliers, including phone outreach when necessary. • Maintain organized bid documentation and estimating records. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate proposal submissions.
Job Requirements
- Civil Engineering degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience estimating U.S. commercial construction projects.
- Proven experience estimating site work, fencing, and concrete scopes.
- Strong understanding of production rates, labor productivity, and field execution considerations.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam for quantity takeoffs and markup workflows.
- Experience using RSMeans or similar regional pricing databases.
- Experience managing subcontractor outreach and vendor coordination.
- Ability to independently manage multiple bids and competing deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English with clear verbal and written communication skills.
