Job Type: Hybrid Job Summary The "Test Development Engineer 1" will support development of advanced test systems and methodologies for ZOLL medical devices. Responsibilities include designing, testing, documenting, validation and verification of new and existing test systems. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, a strong problem-solver, and eager to support delivery of innovative and efficacious testing solutions for ZOLL products. Essential Functions • Develop test methods and procedures to support manual and automated testing of ZOLL products • Design, document, update and validate and improvements for custom test hardware and software used in ZOLL test stations • Develop and update test requirements and plans used for supporting test stands and processes • Debug test fixtures and systems using common lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, DMMs, function generators, etc.) • Prototype, build and debug circuit boards, cables and other components for use in ZOLL test systems • Document test results and analyze data using statistical tools to prepare technical reports • Support continuous improvement initiatives for ZOLL product testing while ensuring good manufacturing practices (cGMP) are maintained Required/Preferred Education and Experience • Bachelors Degree Science Degree (EE, ME, preferred) required • 0-2 years of engineering, technical or manufacturing experience required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Basic electro-mechanical skills, to include assembly, dis-assembly and repair assemblies • Experience with analog and digital circuitry preferred, high-voltage a plus • Familiar with basic engineering lab equipment and measurement instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, DMMs, function generators, etc.) • Experience with test automation software such as LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, C/C# a plus • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • Standing - Occasionally • Walking - Occasionally • Sitting - Constantly • Talking - Occasionally • Hearing - Occasionally • Repetitive Motions - Frequently ZOLL is a fast-growing company that operates in more than 140 countries around the world.
