Role Description We are hiring a Remote Loan Processor to manage files from loan requests, pending requests, and unqualified requests. This role is integrated to help meet the growing need for individualized academic assistance for special needs students. The Remote Loan Processor will be responsible for ensuring all paperwork is complete, accurate, and moving on schedule, so loan officers and underwriters aren't stuck waiting on missing documents. Your efforts will help create a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere that promotes the academic and social growth of all students. Key Role Responsibilities - Collection and reviewing of borrowers' required documents for completeness. - Customer verification and follow-up. - Keeping all files and loan documents organized and on track towards the final closing date. - Preventing missing or inconsistent records to avoid confusion or delays that could hold up underwriting. - Ensuring timely follow-up by communicating with internal departments and loan officers. - Keeping track of service history and open requests. - Supporting business processes that enhance service delivery. - Communicating with customers and loan officers about what is still needed. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. - Prior experience working with children in a classroom setting, especially those with special needs, is highly desirable. - Comfortable handling a large number of files with different deadlines. - Detail-oriented and able to work independently in a remote setup while staying responsive to the team. - Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating effectively with customers, loan officers, and other department staff. - Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. - Minimum one year experience in customer service, administrative support, resident services, operations support, scheduling, or related field. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - A patient, organized, and detail-oriented person who catches the smallest details. - Experience working with remote/distributed teams. - Excellent dispute resolution and problem-solving skills. - A good high-speed internet connection and a dedicated work area. - Independent, self-starting, and able to connect with a distant team. - Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and web-based business applications. Role Description Under the supervision of the AVP Indirect Lending, performs all duties associated with processing Indirect Consumer loans. Monitors Dealer track, RouteOne and CUDL, Indirect applications. Reviews loan packages and determines steps necessary to complete processing and funding in an accurate and timely manner. Adds value to the organization by assisting with the process which adds assets to the Credit Union’s portfolio. Works directly with the Auto Dealers and members. - Performs duties related to processing and funding of indirect consumer lending products. - Reviews documentation to ensure it corresponds with loan application; confirms accuracy of member information, conducts a comprehensive review of income verification, loads data in Loan Origination System, and funds in accordance with loan officer’s instructions/stipulations. - Works directly with Indirect Auto dealers to communicate loan stipulations and funding’s. - Accepts incoming calls from vendors, dealerships and external and internal members. - Answers questions and provides information related to loan processing and loan funding. - Reviews completed Indirect Funding Form and Checklist to confirm completion in accordance with credit union standards. - Sends completed package to Records/File Room after funding is completed. - Completes telephone interview/verification of indirect applicants and collateral along with verification of physical damage insurance coverage for the financed vehicle. - Adheres to all auditing procedures designed to document the lending process and provide the proper checks and balances. - Supports and participates in continuous improvement activities. - Represents the Credit Union in a positive and professional manner. - Maintains member and other sensitive information with confidentiality. - Treats co-workers and members with respect. - Other related duties as assigned. • Evaluate all information supplied on the mortgage loan application • Verify the validity of the information • Assemble completely documented files to Underwriting and Closing • Act as the primary liaison between the loan officer, loan officer assistant, realtors, builders, and the customer(s)
• Providing quality customer service by obtaining necessary documentation to underwrite the loan and orders third party documentation by communicating directly with the customer and/or Loan Officer • Provides proper disclosures when required by applicable local, state, and federal regulations • Perform a thorough review and analysis of borrower’s credit, employment, income, and assets as required by the loan program before submitting to underwriting • Assemble the complete loan package in proper order for underwriting • Verify all required documentation (pre-underwrite) in the file • Complete the required loan checklist • Verify that an application is complete and accurate; identify any potential issues that may arise in underwriting • Prepare a loan approval summary, Forms 1008 and 1003, and ensure the accuracy of all the information printed on the documents; communicate directly with the Loan Originator, customer, and Underwriter to obtain initial and any missing documentation required to qualify for the loan • Review loans for compliance with all mortgage-related regulations (RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Reg. B, etc.) and prepare required disclosures • Communicate with various companies to obtain Property Survey, Flood Certificate, Title Commitment, and payoff information • Manage pipeline by completing and submitting reports within allotted turn-around times • Assist set-up of loans • Document all communication related to the loan application in the conversation log • Train and assist supervision of new Loan Processors and other processing personnel • Assist closing, secondary marketing, and loan servicing to obtain and clear outstanding suspense items from CrossCountry Mortgage investors • Available to work varying hours and overtime if needed
