Job Requirements
- 5+ years media relations or PR experience
- A proven network of energy industry reporters
- Strong, creative, AP-style writing an absolute must
- Ability to “spot” a story angle and craft compelling, relevant and newsworthy pitches
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to pitch stories over the phone or over email
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
- Impeccable organization; Microsoft Office proficiency
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or have all necessary approvals to live/work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship.

Seasonal readers will be trained by the Brooks Schools Admissions staff to evaluate applications to the undergraduate programs in Public Policy and Health Care Policy, including: - Review of high school transcripts - Application essays - Recommendation letters - Other application components The admissions review is comprehensive, taking into consideration each applicant's application materials. Seasonal readers are expected to commit to: - A minimum of 10 hours per week during the early admission period (October through December, as needed) - 20-25 hours per week during peak application review (January through the first week of April 2027) Readers will conduct a comprehensive review on an average of 3-4 applications per hour during regular decision. Training and work will be primarily conducted remotely via Zoom/phone in late September. Seasonal readers will partner with admissions staff for training and for the duration of the reading period and serve as the initial readers of application files. To ensure that admissions decision deadlines are met, seasonal readers must be able to: - Read quickly, carefully, and objectively - Provide thorough notes All applications are read online.
