• Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of InfiniBand and Ethernet network infrastructure. • Assist in troubleshooting network issues, including connectivity, latency, and performance degradation. • Monitor network health and performance using standard tools and assist in identifying bottlenecks. • Work with InfiniBand technologies (switches, HCAs, subnet managers) under guidance from senior engineers. • Support management and troubleshooting of Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, VPNs, firewall rules). • Assist in implementing network configurations, routing, and segmentation. • Collaborate with compute and storage teams to support HPC and AI workloads. • Participate in incident response and operational support activities. • Contribute to documentation of network configurations and procedures. • Learn and adopt automation tools and practices (e.g., Ansible, scripting).

• Manage and maintain the Monitoring Systems • Full fault troubleshooting, problem isolation, and corrective action implementation or escalation to network engineering for assistance • Liaising, and own discussions with, 3rd party suppliers to troubleshoot problems, perform upgrades, resolve service impacts, manage network changes, and escalate as required • Provisioning and configuring core network devices and tools, such as IP assignment, core network configuration, DNS setup, monitoring software for core equipment and software, NNI ports and services, implementing MOPs for controlled core and edge network changes, etc. • Network equipment build, installation, and configurations • Performing and maintain hardware, serial numbers, security, and configuration audits • Writing custom monitoring plugins and configuring bespoke graphing. • Maintenance of WIKI and technical documentation (for NOC) of processes and procedures used throughout normal operations • Development of knowledge and skills in network and system administration • Tier 3 escalation point for all core network datacenter services and infrastructure, access network, and AireSpring services • Participate in a 24x7 call-out rotation if required

Role Description We're looking for a Network Engineer III to join a security remediation team focused on patching and upgrading network devices. This is a great fit for a strong network engineer who doesn't necessarily come from a security background but is comfortable navigating devices, performing upgrades, and working independently. You'll work directly with customers and stakeholders throughout the engagement, so clear, confident communication is essential. - Access and navigate network devices to perform upgrades and patches - Install, configure, and upgrade Cisco routers and switches; execute device changes, upgrades, and replacements - Support vulnerability management and exposure management efforts - Implement and modify complex ACLs to restrict unauthorized access, enforce security policies, and manage network traffic flow (including updating ACLs to filter/restrict ports for public WiFi access) - Create and execute CLI commands and manage IPv4 configurations - Use command line and traceroute to troubleshoot and validate device access - Apply engineered Layer 3/Layer 4 routing architecture across enterprise routing and switching environments - Participate in maintenance windows as needed (occasional, not a regular occurrence) - Work directly with customers and stakeholders throughout the engagement Qualifications - 5-8 years of network engineering experience (NE3 level) - Strong routing and switching experience - Cisco, Juniper, and/or Alcatel - Advanced experience with router and switch configurations and device management - Deep understanding of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS backbone, wireless, cloud, the OSI model, and network protocols - In-depth understanding of enterprise routing/switching and Layer 3/Layer 4 routing architecture - Experience with managed services platforms - Cisco Meraki, Fortinet - Comfortable with the Meraki/Cisco dashboard and updating ACLs - Self-sufficient, able to work with minimal oversight (no lead experience required) Nice to Have - Experience with Salesforce and/or Jira - ISP background - Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA+ Soft Skills - Excellent, clear communication skills - this role works directly with customers Requirements - Must be able to work as a W2 contractor located within the US
