Job Description
Product Owner
nesto
Role Description You'll join one of our product streams — [e.g. Origination] — working shoulder-to-shoulder with a Product Manager who owns the strategy and roadmap for the area. Your job is to own how that strategy becomes reality: turning initiatives into well-sequenced epics, ready-to-build stories, and predictable delivery, while keeping the team aligned and unblocked. This is a delivery-focused role on the product management track. You own the path from a defined initiative to a shipped feature, end-to-end. Your closest collaborators are the Product Manager whose strategy you deliver, the Engineering Manager who owns how it's built, and the engineers, designers, and mortgage operations experts who bring it to life. What You'll Be Doing - Own the delivery of features in your area, end-to-end — from a defined initiative through to shipped, working product. - Break initiatives into a logical, correctly-sequenced set of epics, then slice those into clear, buildable stories with acceptance criteria sharp enough that engineering can start without a meeting. - Own scope and feature delivery but when a call touches a critical tradeoff, bring a recommendation — not just a question — and let the PM make the strategic call. - Keep your team aligned and moving: be the day-to-day product point of contact, resolve delivery blockers fast, and escalate the cross-team ones that need the PM. - Own delivery status for every feature in flight. Stakeholders always know where things stand, and risks or slippage get flagged early with a recommended path forward. - Partner tightly with your Engineering Manager: you own what, how much, and in what order; they own how it's built and the health of the team. - Stay close to UAT, release planning, and pre-launch readiness so edge cases are addressed and downstream impacts are understood before launch. - Grow your product judgment continuously — reasoning about user and business value and correct sequencing, not just what's fastest to build. - Actively use AI tools (Cursor, Claude, Figma AI, Gemini, and others) to accelerate your workflow — synthesizing requirements, drafting epics and stories, generating documentation, and pressure-testing breakdowns before they hit the backlog. - Share what you discover. How you work should make the people around you better. Qualifications - 2-4+ years of experience in product ownership, or a delivery product role. - Demonstrated ability to take a defined outcome and break it into clear, correctly-sequenced, buildable work that a team can execute without constant clarification. - Writes acceptance criteria and documentation that remove ambiguity rather than create it. - Keeps a team aligned and moving, spotting drift, dependencies, and blockers early and acts on them immediately. - Comfortable making and defending scope and sequencing calls as priorities shift. - Strong communication skills: able to explain complex requirements clearly to Product, Engineering, and operations. - Proven, active fluency with AI tools across your workflow. Preferred But Not A Must - Exposure to mortgage origination, lending, or a regulated financial services environment. - Familiarity with LOS or lending platforms, or translating operational needs into system requirements. - Prior experience owning delivery across multiple concurrent work streams. You Shouldn't Apply If - You want to own product strategy and roadmap right now. - You need a fixed, frozen spec to work from. - You hand off a set of tickets and consider your job done. - You treat AI tools as a curiosity rather than a daily accelerant. - You don't thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and sometimes ambiguous environment. - You are not open to experimentation and continuous improvement. Interview Process - Recruiter Screen – 30 minutes - Discovery Call with Director of Product – 30 minutes - Take-home Assignment followed by Presentation and Q&A – 60 minutes - Final Stakeholder Interview – 45 minutes - Criminal Record and Reference Checks + Offer The Reward - Work alongside high-performing talent in product, tech, and the mortgage industry. - The slope of your learning curve here will be vertical. - Premium benefits plan fully paid by nesto, including comprehensive insurance and unlimited access to telemedicine and mental health services for you and your family. - 4 weeks of vacation to ensure you stay at peak performance. - Everything you need to execute without friction, including the AI tools that make you faster. - The environment that makes you productive and enables real teamwork. Diversity and Inclusion At nesto, we believe that creativity and collaboration are the result of a diverse team. We are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and we strongly encourage women, people of colour, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and individuals with disabilities to apply.

Role Description As a Senior Manager, Product Data Science & Experimentation you will own the health, velocity, quality, governance, and organisational maturity of experimentation across Viator and Tripadvisor, while providing strong technical leadership from within the Product Data Science function. - Ensure experimentation is designed, executed, and interpreted in a consistent, high-quality way across the organisation. - Drive continuous improvement in velocity, adoption, and organisational capability. - Own the end-to-end experimentation operating system, including governance, standards, lifecycle, and quality controls across all experiments. - Define and enforce experimentation standards, ensuring consistent rules for experiment design, metric selection, statistical validity, and metadata completeness. - Drive experimentation velocity and coverage, ensuring balanced testing across product surfaces and eliminating under-tested or untested areas. - Establish a single source of truth for experimentation health, ensuring leadership can reliably understand what is being tested, where, and with what outcomes. - Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Engineering, and Product Data Science leadership to align on priorities, resolve system-level issues, and improve experimentation execution. - Identify and eliminate systemic failure modes in experimentation design and execution, preventing recurring issues rather than repeatedly fixing them downstream. - Reduce reliance on central experimentation support by improving upstream experiment design quality and embedding correct behaviours into product teams. - Own experimentation literacy across the organisation, ensuring teams understand how to design, run, and interpret experiments correctly as part of normal product development. - Design and scale frameworks, documentation, and tooling that make correct experimentation the default and reduce dependency on reactive support or ad hoc guidance. - Ensure experiment metadata integrity and completeness so that results are comparable, auditable, and usable for decision-making and organisational learning. - Act as an escalation point for experimentation system health, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and do not persist across cycles. Qualifications - Extensive experience in data science, experimentation, product analytics, or a similar quantitative discipline. - Proven track record of improving experimentation systems, governance, or decision-making quality in a product-led organisation. - Strong proficiency in SQL and Python. - Deep understanding of A/B testing, statistical experimentation, causal inference, and applied experimentation frameworks. - Demonstrated ability to design, diagnose, and improve end-to-end experimentation systems. - Strong understanding of product development and decision-making. - Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Data organisations without direct authority. - Experience improving experimentation velocity, quality, and adoption through structural interventions. - Strong ability to evaluate experiment design, statistical validity, and interpretation of results. - Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, driving behavioural and organisational change across multiple teams. - Exceptional ability to communicate experimentation concepts clearly and confidently to technical and non-technical audiences. Requirements - Experience improving experimentation systems, governance, or operating models at scale. - Experience driving experimentation adoption across multiple product teams, domains, or brands. - Experience building experimentation frameworks, standards, or guardrails that improve quality and consistency. - Experience reducing organisational dependency on central experimentation or data science teams through better system design and self-service enablement. - Experience working in high-scale product environments such as marketplaces, e-commerce, or travel platforms. - Experience working in SaaS experimentation tools such as Statsig, Eppo, Growthbook, and others. - A reputation for improving how organisations make decisions, not just the quality of individual analyses or experiments. Company Description Tripadvisor is the world’s largest online travel site, visited by 390 million travellers each month, and our Experiences business, Viator, is a fast-evolving and highly data-driven part of the organisation. At Viator, data is at the heart of how we build great products. We use it to understand our customers, improve decision-making, and drive measurable business impact.
