Role Description As Director of Solutions Engineering, you will lead, mentor, and scale a team of Solutions Engineers across North America, driving technical excellence throughout the customer buying journey. Partnering closely with Sales leadership, you will develop winning presales strategies, guide complex enterprise opportunities, and ensure customers clearly understand the business value of GBG's solutions. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic vision and active customer engagement. You will coach and develop top technical talent, drive presales best practices, and help shape the future of the function through the adoption of AI-enabled tools and processes. Ideal candidates bring a proven track record of leading high-performing presales teams, influencing executive stakeholders, and delivering results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented SaaS or technology environment. What you will do - Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous growth. - Drive the technical sales strategy across North America, guiding discovery, solution design, demonstrations, and customer evaluations. - Partner closely with Sales leadership to align presales activities with revenue objectives and accelerate business growth. - Establish and scale best-in-class presales methodologies, processes, and tools to improve consistency, efficiency, and customer outcomes. - Act as a trusted advisor and executive sponsor on strategic enterprise opportunities, helping customers solve complex identity, fraud, and data challenges. - Champion the adoption of AI-enabled practices and technologies to enhance team productivity, customer engagement, and technical differentiation. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams to translate customer and market insights into future product innovation. - Leverage data and performance metrics to optimize technical win rates, evaluation success, deal velocity, and overall business impact. - Attract, hire, and retain top Solutions Engineering talent while building a scalable organization capable of supporting continued growth. - Serve as a key member of the Customer Engineering leadership team, helping shape the vision, strategy, and future direction of the function. Qualifications - Proven success leading, coaching, and developing high-performing Presales or Solutions Engineering teams in a growth-oriented technology organization. - A leadership style rooted in coaching and mentorship, with a passion for helping individuals grow, succeed, and advance their careers. - Deep expertise in presales methodologies, frameworks, and best practices, with a track record of scaling processes that improve team performance and business outcomes. - Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools to increase productivity, enhance customer engagement, and drive more effective technical evaluations. - Ability to serve as a strategic advisor to both customers and internal stakeholders, influencing decisions at all levels of the organization. - Strong executive presence with exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into compelling business value. - A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, solve problems, and deliver results in fast-paced environments. - Strong ability to bridge the gap between customer challenges, business objectives, and technical solutions. - Experience in identity verification, fraud prevention, risk, data intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech, or adjacent technology markets is preferred but not required. - Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain top technical talent while building engaged, high-performing teams. Work Structure This is a remote position with a strong preference for candidates in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Travel for customer visits, team collaboration, and stakeholder meetings may be required (estimated up to 40%).
